Jane Fonda is being honored as one of the '100 Women of the Century.'

Unfortunately, many have forgotten and still countless others have
never known how Ms. Fonda betrayed not only the idea of our country,
but specific men who served and sacrificed during the Vietnam War.
The first part of this is from an F-4E pilot.
The pilot's name is Jerry Driscoll, a River Rat.
In 1968, the former Commandant of the USAF Survival School
was a POW in Ho Lo Prison the 'Hanoi Hilton.'
Dragged from a stinking cesspit of a cell, cleaned, fed,
and dressed in clean PJ's, he was ordered to describe for a
visiting American 'Peace Activist' the 'lenient and humane
treatment' he'd received.
He spat at Ms. Fonda, was clubbed, and was dragged away. During
the subsequent beating, he fell forward on to the camp Commandant 's
feet, which sent that officer berserk.
In 1978, the Air Force Colonel still suffered from double vision
(which permanently ended his flying career) from the Commandant's
frenzied application of a wooden baton.
From 1963-65, Col. Larry Carrigan was in the 47FW/DO (F-4E's). He
spent 6 years in the 'Hanoi Hilton'...the first three of which his family
only knew he was 'missing in action'.
His wife lived on faith that he was still alive. His group, too, got the
cleaned-up, fed and clothed treatment in preparation for a 'peace
delegation' visit.
They, however, had time and devised a plan to get word to the world
that they were alive and still survived. Each man secreted a tiny piece
of paper, with his Social Security Number on it, in the palm of his hand.
When paraded before Ms. Fonda and a cameraman, she walked the line,
shaking each man's hand and asking little encouraging snippets like: 'Aren't
you sorry you bombed babies?' and 'Are you grateful for the humane
treatment from your benevolent captors?'
Believing this HAD to be an act, they each palmed her their sliver of
paper. She took them all without missing a beat...At the end of the line
and once the camera stopped rolling, to the shocked disbelief of the
POW's she turned to the officer in charge and handed him all the little
pieces of paper...Three men died from the subsequent beatings.
Colonel Carrigan was almost number four but he survived, which is
the only reason we know of her actions that day.
I was a civilian economic development adviser in Vietnam, and was
captured by the North Vietnamese communists in South Vietnam in
1968, and held prisoner for over 5 years.
I spent 27 months in solitary confinement; one year in a cage in
Cambodia; and one year in a 'black box' in Hanoi. My North Vietnamese
captors deliberately poisoned and murdered a female missionary, a
nurse in a leprosarium in Banme Thuot, South Vietnam, whom I buried
in the jungle near the Cambodian border.
At one time, I weighed only about 90 lbs. (My normal weight is 170 lbs). We
were Jane Fonda's 'war criminals...'
When Jane Fonda was in Hanoi, I was asked by the camp communist
political officer if I would be willing to meet with her. I said yes, for I
wanted to tell her about the real treatment we POWs received...and
how different it was from the treatment purported by the North
Vietnamese, and parroted by her as 'humane and lenient.'
Because of this, I spent three days on a rocky floor on my knees, with
my arms outstretched with a large steel weight placed on my hands, and
beaten with a bamboo cane.
I had the opportunity to meet with Jane Fonda soon after I was released.
I asked her if she would be willing to debate me on TV. She never did answer me.
These first-hand experiences do not exemplify someone who
should be honored as part of '100 Years of Great Women.' Lest we forget...
'100 Years of Great Women' should never include a traitor whose hands are
covered with the blood of so many patriots.
There are few things I have strong visceral reactions to, but Hanoi Jane 's
participation in blatant treason, is one of them.

will eventually end up on her computer and she needs to know that we
will never forget.

“Tehran (Agenzia Fides) – An Iranian man, converted from Islam to Christianity, was sentenced to ten years in prison for “crimes against state security”: the defendant is guilty of distributing copies of the Gospel in the country.
Mohammad-Hadi Bordbar, known as Mostafa, a native of the city of Rasht, was accused of conspiracy and sentenced. As reported to Fides Agency, the court documents show that the man confessed to “having abandoned Islam to follow Christianity”, and “considering evangelization his duty, he distributed 12,000 pocket gospels”.
After having received baptism, Mostafa had set up a “house church”, an assembly of home worship, with prayer meetings at home, which are considered “illegal”. Mostafa was arrested in Tehran on December 27, 2012, after a police raid at his house. The security officers detained and interrogated all those present at the meeting for hours, about 50 Iranian Christians. In his home the police found material and Christian publications, such as movies, books, CDs and over 6,000 copies of the Gospel.
Mostafa had already been arrested in 2009 for conversion to Christianity, found guilty of apostasy, then released on bail.
In another recent case, reported to Fides by the Iranian Christian Agency “Mohabat News”, a court in the city of Robat-Karim, south of Tehran, sentenced the young Ebrahim Firouzi, another Iranian Christian to one year in prison and two years of exile, for “evangelization activities and distribution of Bibles”, considered “in opposition to the regime of the Islamic Republic of Iran”. In the ruling, the judge describes Ebrahim Firouzi of being “guilty of criminal acts for holding prayer meetings at home and for having spread among the young doubts on Islamic principles”. The young man was arrested in March 2013.

A World War Two veteran nicknamed ‘Shorty’ who served in the Battle of Okinawa was brutally beaten by two men and left to die outside his regular bar in Spokane, Washington, on Wednesday.
Delbert Belton, 88, who was shot in the leg during the pivotal battle of the Pacific campaign, passed away from serious head injuries on Thursday at Sacred Heart Medical Center in the city.
Witnesses to the attack said that Belton was walking inside the Eagles Lodge to play pool at around 8pm when two male suspects set upon him.
Police hurriedly responded to the sickening attack with K-9 units to track the two men but have not yet located them.
‘It does appear random. He was in the parking lot, it appears he was assaulted in the parking lot and there was no indication that he would have known these people prior to the assault,’ Spokane Police Major Crimes Detective Lieutenant Mark Griffiths said.
On Thursday evening, police released surveillance photos of the two suspects, who they describe as African-American males between the ages of 16 and 19.
Delbert ‘Shorty’ Belton was taken to the Intensive Care Unit of Sacred Heart after the assault at the Eagles Ice-A-Rena near Lidgerwood, but succumbed to his wounds.

Insult to Injury: Wounded warriors snubbed at Walter Reed dining hall

In a disturbing revelation about the treatment of America's most severely wounded troops, Fox News has learned the military earlier this month decided to invalidate meal tickets and reduce hours for the sole dining facility in the Walter Reed building where they are recovering.
The decision affects the Warrior Cafe located inside building 62, home to all multiple amputees and long-term, recovering patients at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, Md.
The decision would mean wounded warriors who would normally have a government-funded meal just down the hall would have to walk, wheel or limp nearly a half-mile across the Walter Reed campus to the temporary "food trailer" for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
"I mean it's called the Warrior Cafe, you would think it is for us," said Sgt. Josh Wetzel, who lost both his legs when he stepped on a pressure plate IED outside Kandahar, Afghanistan in May 2013. He's been recovering at Walter Reed since and has been a daily customer at the cafe.
The status of the military's decision may be in flux.
After Fox News submitted multiple inquiries with senior military officials earlier this week, the Pentagon responded late Wednesday. Lt. Col. Catherine Wilkinson, a Pentagon spokesman, told Fox News that Dr. Jonathan Woodson, assistant secretary of Defense for health affairs, has decided to reverse the changes.
Yet so far, no patients at Walter Reed have been notified of that decision and there has been no formal announcement.
"It makes a lot of people mad that they can't get into their wheelchair and wheel down to the Warrior Cafe," Wetzel said. "Now they have to wheel all the way across base to use their meal cards."

Wetzel's wife Paige is nine months pregnant with their first child and is due this coming Monday. She says she's worried about how much time and effort her husband will have to spend seeking food between appointments, while she is in the maternity ward.
"In my opinion it's a total independence thing," Paige said. "If I were to leave for a day or two I would know Josh could go right down the hall, feed himself and he'd be fine. Now the only alternative is to leave our building."
Walter Reed has already closed the cafe on weekends. Paige says the Army offered to have Josh order his meals in advance. "They explained that we could use our squad leaders to order meals for the weekend, but it has to go through the squad leader (and then) through the first sergeant," Paige said. "So how do you plan for that to make sure you get what you need for the weekend?"
In addition to the weekend closure, the base also decided to reduce the cafe's hours from 60 to 50 a week. Instead of closing at 8 p.m. it now closes at 6 p.m., making it difficult for those getting occupational therapy to get there in time.
The patients of building 62, many of whom have endured 50 surgeries or more and are expected to spend up to two years recovering at Walter Reed, were told of the decision to end meal tickets at the Cafe in an Aug. 7 text message from their squad leader. The message explained that the changes to the meal tickets will take place on Sept. 3. That message was followed by a heated town hall meeting last week.
"I was very upset," said Carolee Ryan. She is the mother of Marine Staff Sgt. Thomas McRae, a triple amputee, partially blinded, single father whose wife left him after he sustained his injuries in January of 2012 in Sangin, Afghanistan.
She was one of the mothers who made her voice heard during that town hall meeting.
"I felt it was a slap in my son's face as a service member. As many times as he has been deployed -- what they were doing to him was a disservice," she said.
Paige Wetzel said the families felt the decision was made without their input and for reasons that are hard to understand. "It felt like the money had been deemed appropriate somewhere else and I don't see how that could happen," Wetzel said.
Officials in the Pentagon and at Walter Reed did not respond to questions about why the changes were made, but congressional sources with knowledge of the decision say it was based on concerns that government funds for the warrior meals were being misappropriated. They said that because the cafe is listed as a "self sustaining" business, it is not allowed to receive government subsidies, such as the meal tickets and appropriated funds. So the military decided the cafe could no longer accept the government meal cards.
The families and patients have a slightly different take. Many of them who spoke to Fox News are under the impression that the government doesn't like paying for the higher prices that come with the better food.
"The food quality is not nearly as good (at the trailer) as it is at the Warrior Cafe," Josh Wetzel said. "The Warrior Cafe has something for everyone like a grill, hot food, salad bars, sandwiches and drinks."
Carolee Ryan says the trailers specialize in "processed food."
Walter Reed plans to eventually replace the trailers with a new cafeteria, though it's not expected to be completed for months. But even the new cafeteria will be a haul for the wounded occupants of building 62. For now, Josh's best options are to pay for a meal using his modest Army paycheck or to walk on his prosthetics to the trailer.

True to the title, actress Piper Perabo jumps into bed with a Russian and then hops to the bed of an Israeli Mossad agent. A new assignment for her means a new romantic affair somewhere around the globe.
While watching an episode recently, it hit me…
The character in the show is just like Barack Obama. United States foreign policy lies in tatters, and our president wants to sleep with the latest leader who walks in the door, with no understanding for how it will impact the country in the morning.
In my 30 years of watching U.S. foreign policy, I’ve never seen a time when our relationships with both allies and enemies have been more confused and unsettled.
For example…
The U.S.-Russian “Reset”

Remember the big reset with Russia?
Back in 2009, then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton gave Sergei Lavrov, the Russian Foreign Minister, a “reset” button. It symbolized Obama’s hope for improved relations with Moscow.
In short, Obama wanted to reboot US-Russian relations in the same way you might reset a crashed computer. But the policy consisted of the United States groveling to Russian President Vladimir Putin, and spending a year ignoring the usual Russian bad behavior around the world.
For example, during the time of the reset, Russia continued to protect and provide assistance to Iran’s nuclear weapons program.
The country moved to protect the Syrian regime of President Bashar al-Assad from United Nations censure, as it aggressively attempted to stamp out a domestic insurgency.
Finally, Russia provided sanctuary to Edward Snowden, the NSA whistleblower who had the audacity to expose how the United States spies on its citizens and its allies.
When Obama couldn’t take it anymore, he declared the reset over.
But he couldn’t stop there. Like a jilted lover, he insults Putin, not just by canceling a summit, but by calling him a slouching schoolchild, too.
By this point, Senator John McCain had seen enough.
On Fox News Sunday, he unloaded on Obama saying: “The president comparing him to a kid in the back of a classroom, I think, is very indicative of the president’s lack of appreciation of who Vladimir Putin is. He’s an old KGB colonel who has no illusions about our relationship, does not care about a relationship with the United States, continues to oppress his people, and continues to act in an autocratic fashion.”
The result? U.S.-Russian relations are at their lowest ebb since the Cold War.
As for our relations in the Middle East…
Backing the Loser
Obama began his first term in office with a much-trumpeted outreach to Islam.
Remember how he toured Arab countries and spoke passionately of his desire for close and cordial relations, even bowing to the king of Saudi Arabia?
Then came the “Arab Spring.” It actually should’ve been called the “Arab Winter.” Al Qaeda, our one-time enemy, became our new-found friend as the United States gave a helping hand to radical Islamists when they captured the governments of Tunisia, Libya, and then Egypt. When the revolution made its way to Syria, the old governing forces of the Arab world turned back the tide.
Now the insurgency in Syria is wracked with internal strife, as Al Qaeda seeks to dominate the insurgency, and we’re left in the embarrassing position of supporting what looks to be the losing side in Syria.
In an unstable region of the globe that already looks like a house of cards, we’ve deeply damaged stability even more.
The Mess in Egypt
In Egypt, Obama was complicit in throwing America’s strongest Arab ally, Hosni Mubarak, under the bus. We actually facilitated the takeover of Egypt, as it was collapsing, by the Muslim Brotherhood – the terrorist organization that murdered Anwar Sadat and has terrorized Coptic Christians in Egypt for decades.
After the Brotherhood controlled the government, they were slowly consolidating power and were creating an Islamic dictatorship with the overt help of the Obama administration.
The Egyptian military watched as much violence and ethnic cleansing as they could abide. Everyday Egyptians and the Saudi Royal family backed the military, as they threw the terrorists of the Brotherhood out and have aggressively moved to restore order.
Relations with Egypt are currently so bad, and we have so little influence, that Anti-Americanism pervades the daily protests. Egyptians who should be our friends are now chanting for the Egyptian military to ally with Putin and Russia.
After sleeping with the enemy, our foreign relations have gone from bad to worse; and our world is like a gas truck around a box of matches. To put it plainly: Obama is a foreign policy disaster of unparalleled proportions.
"I would say it's close to half a mile ... for guys who are on their wheelchair or using prosthetic legs -- you know that is a long way to go," he said.
Adding insult to injury, there are only two handicap-accessible tables in the trailer, and neither the bathroom nor the exit doors has push-button access.
"It's quote unquote handicap accessible, but for guys who have serious mobility injuries -- like they can't use their hands that well -- you know it is tough for them," Josh Wetzel said.
Thomas McRae's mother says the whole situation breaks her heart. She said her son told her he would consider going hungry before wheeling himself to the trailers.
"Now I get it," Ryan said. "Back in the Vietnam War when all the men and women were coming home (I understand) how they felt ... and I didn't think it would come to this."

On the major issues that dominate interviews and debates each year, Democratic leaders are increasingly distancing themselves from the views of the majority of American people.
The President is taking multi-million dollar vacations while regular Americans are decreasing their number of paid off days just to keep their jobs. Legislators are enrolling their children in elite private schools while the rest of us are volunteering personal time and money to help our local public school systems. The NSA is defending its right to access public phone records, though we are adamantly calling for it to stop.
