77 Percent of Obama's New Jobs Are
Part-Time
Sunday, 04 Aug 2013 11:06 AM By Dan Weil
While many economists have described the
employment picture as gradually improving in recent months, by one measure it's
not improving at all.
In July, only 92,000 of the 266,000 jobs created were full-time — just 35 percent of the total.
You may wonder why the total number of jobs created isn't 162,000, the number commonly used by news services. That number is calculated from the Labor Department's establishment survey of employers. The 266,000 is calculated from the department's household survey.
For the year through July, only 222,000 jobs created were full-time — representing just 23 percent of the total of 953,000, according to Zero Hedge.
Some economists are raising warning flags over the fact that 77 percent of this year's new jobs are part-time, saying the numbers provide a bleak portrayal of the labor market.
"Essentially the economy is firing on three cylinders instead of six, growing at around 2 percent instead of the 5 percent it should, and as a consequence isn't absorbing as many new workers," Peter Morici, a professor of international business at the University of Maryland and a Moneynews Insider, told Newsmax TV.
"Many of those that it does hire are part timers. Increasingly Americans are relegated to a contingent work force where they work temporary jobs, part-time jobs and so forth. They can't get decent healthcare benefits despite Obamacare, and their wages continue to fall."
Morici and others economists also are concerned by the fact that many of the new jobs are low-paying. More than half of July's job gain came from retailers, restaurants and bars. Average hourly earnings dipped 2 cents in July to $23.98.
"You're getting jobs added, but they might not be the best-quality job," John Canally, an economist with LPL Financial, told The Associated Press.

partido demócrata, no admite términos medios.
principios.,
Obama to Urge Congress to Shutter Fannie,
Freddie
Buoyed by an improving housing market, President
Barack Obama on Tuesday proposed a broad overhaul of the nation's mortgage
finance system, including winding down government-backed Fannie Mae and Freddie
Mac. He declared that taxpayers should never again be left "holding the
bag" for the mortgage giants' bad bets.
Obama outlined his proposals in Phoenix, the once foreclosure-riddled city at the epicenter of the nation's housing crisis. The housing market in Phoenix, as well as in many other parts of the country, has rebounded robustly, with prices in the southwestern city up 66 percent from the low point in 2011.
Despite the nationwide gains, the president said sweeping housing reforms are still needed to ensure that a rejuvenated market doesn't simply "re-inflate the housing bubble." The cornerstone of that effort is winding down Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, a proposal with bipartisan support in the Senate.
"For too long, these companies were allowed to make big profits buying mortgages, knowing that if their bets went bad, taxpayers would be left holding the bag," Obama told a crowd of more than 2,000 at an area high school. He spoke following a tour of a construction company that has been able to hire hundreds of new workers as a result of the region's housing comeback.
While the president has previously endorsed overhauling Fannie and Freddie, his remarks Tuesday marked the first time he outlined his specific proposals for doing so.
The president wants to replace Fannie and Freddie with a system that would put the private sector, not the government, primarily at risk for loans. The government would still be involved, both in oversight and as a last-resort loan guarantor.
Obama is also seeking guarantees that a private sector-led mortgage finance system would still ensure wide homeowner access to popular 30-year mortgages at fixed rates.
Making light of criticism from Republicans who have cast him as a big-spending liberal, Obama joked that his calls for deeper private sector involvement "must sound confusing to the folks who call me a socialist."
Obama's mortgage reform priorities are largely in line with a Senate measure shepherded by Republican Sen. Bob Corker of Tennessee and Democratic Sen. Mark Warner of Virginia that would wind down Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac within five years. Corker said Obama's remarks were a sign of real and growing momentum behind efforts to shutter the mortgage giants.
Once flourishing, Fannie and Freddie were bailed out in 2008 by a $187 billion taxpayer-backed bailout. The two enterprises don't make loans directly, but buy mortgages from lenders, package them as bonds, guarantee them against default and sell them to investors. The enterprises currently own or guarantee half of all U.S. mortgages and back nearly 90 percent of new ones.
Obama's trip to Phoenix marked the latest stop on a summertime tour aimed at rallying the public around his economic policies ahead of looming budget fights with congressional Republicans this fall. It was also a return to the city he visited just weeks after taking office in 2009 to tout the government's role in bolstering the housing market.
But some of Obama's housing proposals remain stalled in Congress, including sweeping refinancing legislation that would expand eligibility for homeowners who do not have government-backed mortgages. On Tuesday, he reiterated his calls for lawmakers to pass his refinancing proposals, saying they would help homeowners save thousands per year.
The president also tried to link his housing proposals to immigration reform, his top second-term legislative priority. He argued that legal immigration would allow more people to purchase homes, thereby raising home values. White House officials also cited a study that showed immigrants accounted for 40 percent of new homeowners nationwide between 2000 and 2010.
The nationwide housing recovery has been providing critical support to the economy at a time when manufacturing and business investment have stagnated. Steady job growth and low mortgage rates in the past year have also fueled more home sales. The increased demand, along with a tight supply of homes for sale, has pushed home prices higher and encouraged builders to start more homes and create more construction jobs.
Seeking to highlight the broad impact of the housing market, Obama opened his stop in Phoenix with a tour of Erickson Construction, a company that makes building frames for homebuilders in three western states. The White House said the company's workforce has expanded from less than 100 employees at the depths of the recession to more than 580.
Just two years ago, the region was in the throes of the worst housing collapse in the country, with prices down nearly 60 percent from their June 2006 peak and banks foreclosing on 70,000 homeowners a year. While the current median home price remains below peak, the levels have risen 66 percent from September 2011. Buyers are plentiful and homes for sale scarce, leading to bidding wars for resale homes.
At the high school in Phoenix, students in the audience interrupted Obama with a rendition of "Happy Birthday;" the president turned 52 on Sunday.
"I'm now 52, and Michelle says I don't look a day over 51," Obama quipped.

RICARDO
Amazon, El Señor Bezos Educado En Miami Dade...
Nino Adoptado Por Un Cubano Exiliado...
Compró el Washington Post Por $250 millones... ¿Por Qué Lo Compró?
Supuestamente, Amazon es una librería
virtual, en Seattle. En realidad es UN ALMACÉN,
SIN TIENDAS.
Antes del Internet, las tiendas tenían
almacenes.
La "GRAN" IDEA DE BEZOS, fue
eliminar el costo de las tiendas
y el personal!
El internet permite "VENDER DIRECTAMENTE al
consumidor.
Vender directamente al público x internet
y quedarse con el margen.
Esa Ventaja, Lo Hizo Billonario.
servidores???
Pero Lo Que Si Se Es Que...
Cuando California intentó cobrar el Sales
Tax a los envíos dentro
de California... Bezos cerró sus cuentas
de California y se marcho del
Estado.
El modelo de comercio de Bezos, está
basado en:
1. NO PAGAR
IMPUESTOS!
2. TENER EL
MENOR NUMERO DE EMPLEADOS.
3. NO TENER
GASTOS FIJOS DE TIENDAS...
Es decir... NO EN COMPETIR, ofreciendo mejor
servicio y variedad de
Mercancía de entrega INMEDIATA... que es
lo que más cuesta...
Amazon radica en Seattle, Washington,
pero SU NUEVA INVERSIÓN
Es comprar un periódico... (que como
todos los periódicos están
PERDIENDO DINERO... y no se anuncia un
plan para hacerlo RENTABLE)
Al contrario... Graham el vendedor...
declaró que todo va a seguir igual...
Bezos MUY INTELIGENTEMENTE lo compra Washington DC... no en
SEATTLE...
Bezos Vio Como Todo El Mundo Que
La Ley NO SE APLICA PAREJA...
Se Dio Cuenta Que NO Somos Una Republica Somos Un
Fascismo...
REPUBLICA,

Aquella iniciativa no tuvo

prospero y feliz.
DIOS BENDIGA A AMERICA. UNA NACION BAJO
DIOS.

Fort Hood
gunman's apparent death wish no surprise to veteran prosecutors
The
apparent death wish of Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan, which brought his court
martial to a temporary halt Wednesday, came as no surprise to veteran
prosecutors who have handled high-profile cases involving terrorists.
Hasan
is representing himself but is advised by a team of attorneys appointed by the
military court trying him for the Nov. 5, 2009 shooting at a Texas military
base that left 13 dead and 30 injured. On Wednesday, members of his legal team
told the military judge the former Army psychiatrist appears to be angling for
the death penalty as he represents himself in the military trial.
One
of the attorneys, Lt. Col. Kris Poppe, said he is willing to step in and serve
as Hasan's attorney, a day after Hasan gave an opening argument that lasted
less than two minutes and included an unambiguous admission that he "was
the shooter" who killed 13 and injured 30 in the Nov. 5, 2009, attack at
the Texas Army base. Hasan's court-appointed legal team is refusing to be part
of a process in which Hasan seems determined to become a martyr, according to
one former prosecutor experienced in terror cases.
"This is
his soapbox."
- Andrew McCarthy, former federal prosecutor
"This
is his soapbox," said Andrew McCarthy, who, as a federal prosecutor, made
the government's case against Sheik Omar Abdel Rahman in the 1993 bombing of
the World Trade Center. "He’s really doing a performance to the world
here, to the jihadists of the world here, and, secondly, he wants to get their
case out there.”
McCarthy
predicted Hasan will get the death penalty, regardless of how his legal team
feels.
Former
U.S. Air Force Col. Morris Davis, who was chief prosecutor of the Guantanamo
military commissions from 2005-2007, said he saw the same stretegy employed by
9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammad, and noted that military law does not
allow guilty pleas in cases where the defendant faces the death penalty.
"You
have to figure that anyone so committed that he'll kill unarmed people believes
he'll be rewarded for being a martyr for the cause," said Davis, now a law
professor at Howard University School of Law. "That's one reason I'm
not in favor of giving the death penalty to Khalid Sheikh Mohammed or Major
Hasan ... why give them exactly what they want? A real punishment would
be for them to live for many, many years locked away being totally
irrelevant."
Hasan,
who was left paralyzed in the attack, and is making his way around the
courtroom in a wheelchair, didn't even bother to cross-examine several of the
military's witnesses on Tuesday.
A
day later, just minutes after testimony began, Judge Col. Tara Osborn cleared
the courtroom and later said the trial would be in recess until Thursday so she
can consider Poppe's motion.
Hasan,
42, an American-born Muslim, told the jury he was a soldier who switched sides
in what he described as a war between America and his Islamic faith.
Among
the witnesses who took the stand on Tuesday was shooting victim Staff Sgt.
Alonzo Lunsford, who told jurors he panicked when he saw Hasan holding a weapon
inside a building where soldiers were preparing to deploy in November 2009.
Lunsford tried to appear dead after being shot, then later decided to flee
because "dead men don't sweat,” he said.
Lunsford
said soldiers were trying to push their way out of a double-door exit, but one
door was locked shut, so it created a bottleneck.
Hasan,
who wore green Army fatigues and a bushy beard, didn't cross-examine Lunsford.
Earlier in the day, Hasan characterized himself as a "mujahedeen” and said
the “dead bodies will show that war is an ugly thing.”
Hasan
also cross-examined prosecution witnesses, including retired Lt. Col. Ben Kirk
Phillips, his former boss. When pressed by the defendant, Phillips acknowledged
that his officer evaluation report had graded Hasan as "outstanding."
Hasan
is charged with 13 counts of premeditated murder and 32 counts of attempted
premeditated murder. He faces the death penalty if convicted. No American
soldier has been executed since 1961.
The
trial is expected to take weeks and possibly months, as many of the more than
30 people wounded in the deadliest attack on a U.S. military installation could
take the witness stand.

CNN Lies in “The Truth About Benghazi”
Wednesday, August 7, 2013
In
any endeavor of corruption and misleading governance, the control of, and support
by, the media, is an absolute necessity. The USSR needed Pravda to keep the
ruse of governance for decades. The need of/by the U.S. government has steadily
grown over the course of several progressive decades; but the urgency has
increased exponentially over the past five years with the extremes of The Obama
Administration.
Yesterday
another blatant example of this was clearly evident to those who are tuned in
to the deceptive enterprise. However, for the sake of those who do not have the
time or energy to actually track such things, here is what took place.
CNN
broadcast a story about the Benghazi attacks on 9/11/12; a subject of much
controversy. So much so, the administration cannot seem to get away from it
because the deceptive narrative is so fundamentally false. Enter the need for
the Pravda-esque media, CNN.
