Governor Signs
Bill to Require Drug Testing For Certain Welfare Recipients
Liberals will go on about some kind of violation of civil rights.
I want to know how a government check is a civil right.
Check it out:
Check it out:
Gov.
Rick Snyder signed legislation today that creates a drug-testing program for
adult welfare recipients who are suspected of using drugs.
The Republican-backed proposals, House Bill 4118 and Senate Bill
275, were among several bills approved by Snyder. The one-year pilot program
will be implemented in three counties that have not yet been determined.
Under the program, welfare recipients or applicants suspected of
drug use will be required to take a substance abuse test. Refusal to take the
test will result in being ineligible for benefits for six months.
A
positive drug test would lead to referrals to treatment programs. If an
individual refuses to participate in the program or fails to submit to periodic
substance abuse testing required under the program, their assistance will be
terminated. Benefits can be restored after a person passes a substance abuse
test.

EL MUNDO EN QUE VIVIMOS
Conversando
‘Peak Left’ for Democrats
Walter Russell Mead
writes that Americans are increasingly rejecting the progressive agenda.
Dec. 26, 2014 6:35 p.m.
ET
For liberals, these are
bleak times of hollow victories (Obamacare) and tipping points that don’t tip.
For examples of the latter, think of Sandy Hook, the horrific massacre in
Connecticut that Democrats and liberals everywhere believed would finally push
the American public toward gun control. Two years later, polls show more
Americans than ever before think it’s more important to protect gun access than
to promote gun control.
Sandy Hook isn’t the only
example. There was the latest 2014 IPCC report on climate change that was going
to end the debate once and for all. The chances for legislative action on
climate change in the new Congress: zero or less. There was Ferguson and the
Garner videotape showing the fatal chokehold, both of which set off a wave of
protests but seem unlikely to change public attitudes about the police. There
was the Senate Intelligence Committee “torture report” that was going to settle
the issue of treatment of detainees. Again, the polls are rolling in suggesting
that the public remains exactly where it was: supportive of “torture” under certain
circumstances. . . .
The liberal rout at the
level of state and local politics is even more alarming. A wave of Republican
Governors in blue Midwestern states (Walker in Wisconsin, Snyder in Michigan,
plus the Dem-crushing Kasich in purple Ohio) and large GOP gains in state
legislatures across the country point to a widespread reaction against liberal
ideas, and lend credence to the idea that, even accounting for the GOP-skewed
electorate in off-year elections, the country as a whole is drifting to the
right. . . .
It took the unique
circumstances of two wars and a financial crash to open a path to the White
House for Barack Obama ; absent similar circumstances,
successful candidates are likely to come from his right for the foreseeable
future.
In that sense the Obama administration may represent “Peak Left” in
American politics, and what we are getting from the left these days is a mix of
bewilderment and anger as it realizes that this is as good as it gets. America
is unlikely to go farther to the left than it went in the wake of the Iraq War
and the financial crash, and while that wasn’t anywhere near enough of a shift
for left-leaning Democrats, the country has already moved on

Amenper: Science Increasingly Makes the
Case for God
The odds of life
existing on another planet grow ever longer. Intelligent design, anyone?
By Eric Metaxas
In 1966 Time magazine ran
a cover story asking: Is God Dead? Many have accepted the cultural narrative
that he’s obsolete—that as science progresses, there is less need for a “God”
to explain the universe. Yet it turns out that the rumors of God’s death were
premature. More amazing is that the relatively recent case for his existence comes
from a surprising place—science itself.
Here’s the story: The
same year Time featured the now-famous headline, the astronomer Carl Sagan
announced that there were two important criteria for a planet to support life:
The right kind of star, and a planet the right distance from that star. Given
the roughly octillion—1 followed by 24 zeros—planets in the universe, there
should have been about septillion—1 followed by 21 zeros—planets capable of
supporting life.
With such spectacular
odds, the Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, a large, expensive
collection of private and publicly funded projects launched in the 1960s, was
sure to turn up something soon. Scientists listened with a vast radio
telescopic network for signals that resembled coded intelligence and were not
merely random. But as years passed, the silence from the rest of the universe
was deafening. Congress defunded SETI in 1993, but the search continues with
private funds. As of 2014, researches have discovered precisely bubkis—0 followed
by nothing.
What happened? As our
knowledge of the universe increased, it became clear that there were far more
factors necessary for life than Sagan supposed. His two parameters grew to 10
and then 20 and then 50, and so the number of potentially life-supporting
planets decreased accordingly. The number dropped to a few thousand planets and
kept on plummeting.
Even SETI proponents
acknowledged the problem. Peter Schenkel wrote in a 2006 piece for Skeptical
Inquirer magazine: “In light of new findings and insights, it seems appropriate
to put excessive euphoria to rest . . . . We should quietly admit that the
early estimates . . . may no longer be tenable.”
As factors continued to
be discovered, the number of possible planets hit zero, and kept going. In
other words, the odds turned against any planet in the universe supporting
life, including this one. Probability said that even we shouldn’t be here.
Today there are more than
200 known parameters necessary for a planet to support life—every single one of
which must be perfectly met, or the whole thing falls apart. Without a massive
planet like Jupiter nearby, whose gravity will draw away asteroids, a thousand
times as many would hit Earth’s surface. The odds against life in the universe
are simply astonishing.
Yet here we are, not only
existing, but talking about existing. What can account for it? Can every one of
those many parameters have been perfect by accident? At what point is it fair
to admit that science suggests that we cannot be the result of random forces?
Doesn’t assuming that an intelligence created these perfect conditions require
far less faith than believing that a life-sustaining Earth just happened to
beat the inconceivable odds to come into being?
There’s more. The
fine-tuning necessary for life to exist on a planet is nothing compared with
the fine-tuning required for the universe to exist at all. For example,
astrophysicists now know that the values of the four fundamental
forces—gravity, the electromagnetic force, and the “strong” and “weak” nuclear
forces—were determined less than one millionth of a second after the big bang.
Alter any one value and the universe could not exist. For instance, if the
ratio between the nuclear strong force and the electromagnetic force had been
off by the tiniest fraction of the tiniest fraction—by even one part in
100,000,000,000,000,000—then no stars could have ever formed at all. Feel free
to gulp.
Multiply that single
parameter by all the other necessary conditions, and the odds against the
universe existing are so heart-stoppingly astronomical that the notion that it
all “just happened” defies common sense. It would be like tossing a coin and
having it come up heads 10 quintillion times in a row. Really?
Fred Hoyle, the
astronomer who coined the term “big bang,” said that his atheism was “greatly
shaken” at these developments. He later wrote that “a common-sense
interpretation of the facts suggests that a super-intellect has monkeyed with
the physics, as well as with chemistry and biology . . . . The numbers one
calculates from the facts seem to me so overwhelming as to put this conclusion
almost beyond question.”
Theoretical physicist
Paul Davies has said that “the appearance of design is overwhelming” and Oxford
professor Dr. John Lennox has said “the more we get to know about our universe,
the more the hypothesis that there is a Creator . . . gains in credibility as
the best explanation of why we are here.”
The greatest miracle of
all time, without any close seconds, is the universe. It is the miracle of all
miracles, one that ineluctably points with the combined brightness of every
star to something—or Someone—beyond itself.

WND. Boehner is vulnerable to
palace coup
Farah to Americans: 'They are the problem, you are the solution' |
Are you angry
at House Speaker John Boehner for facilitating Barack Obama's unlawful,
unconstitutional amnesty and Obamacare plans after Republican voters gave him
a mandate for opposing them?
Now there is a process for igniting a revolution against him within his caucus. It's called the Dump Boehner Campaign. Already, more than half a million letters have been generated to House Republicans putting them on notice that Boehner must go. When Congress reconvenes in early January, every House Republican member will be greeted by boxes of yellow letters demanding Boehner go. Why yellow? The letter begins: "Don't be yellow: Dump Boehner now!" This campaign is the first to empower grass-roots Republican voters whose votes were disenfranchised by leadership immediately after the November election. It's fast. It's simple. It's effective. It's inexpensive. It's transparent. It's efficient. Spread the word and send everyone you know to DumpBoehnerNow.com orDumpBoehnerCampaign.com. If Obama's effort to "fundamentally transform America" is to be stopped next year or the year after, it's going to take a Republican Party that is motivated to oppose him. That simply cannot happen as long as John Boehner is speaker. He has betrayed his constituents too many times to ignore. He's a co-dependent with Obama. He's a collaborator. He's a facilitator. It doesn't matter what his motivations are – blackmail, ignorance, political tin ear, ideology. He has to go if we have any chance of saving America – and, ironically, the Republican Party as a viable alternative to the Democratic madness. Christmas is over. A new year approaches. It would be easy to simply throw up our hands and give up after the scandal of Republican surrender earlier this month. That's just what John Boehner and the Republican establishment would like. But, with a new year dawning and a new Congress convening, it's our duty to give Republicans one more chance to reverse course and correct their errant ways. That's what this campaign is all about. I really believe this could work. It could be historic. JOIN THE DON'T BE YELLOW, DUMP BOEHNER NOW CAMPAIGN.
WASHINGTON – When members of the new
House of Representatives convene here Jan. 3, they will be asked to state the following words in
their oath of office.
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God." And once Republican members reach their new offices, they will be confronted with the reality of what happened last month when the old Congress approved operating capital for the continuation of Obamacare and an executive amnesty they claimed was unconstitutional – hundreds of thousands of yellow letters demanding the ouster of John Boehner as speaker of the House. In fact, 500,000 – so far. All because of the "Don't Be Yellow: Dump Boehner Campaign," through which Americans are responding to a call from WND founder Joseph Farah. And that's just the total through Friday. Farah said he expects, based on early reaction, to generate millions of letters in time for delivery when the new Congress opens its session early next month. The innovative campaign that allows anyone to send a form letter on yellow paper to every Republican member of the House was organized quickly last week in response to growing anger and frustration from GOP voters who feel ripped off by what they see as a betrayal by Boehner and his leadership team over what Farah characterizes as "his capitulation to Obamacare and the unconstitutional amnesty executive action, which were both fully funded by House Republicans who were voted into office to do just the opposite." At about two inches per 500-page ream, there's already a stack of letters more than 15 stories tall destined for guaranteed delivery to House GOP members. "While the news cycle has forgotten about Boehner's betrayal of Republican voters in November, the grass-roots electorate has not," said Farah. "Even while Americans are busy Christmas shopping and getting ready for the holiday season, they are angry enough at the Republican establishment to put their money where their mouth is – investing in this unusual lobbying effort to wake up House members as to the state of their leadership crisis." "Will Republican House members respond in January? At the very least, they won't be able to ignore the deluge of mail that awaits them," he said. JOIN THE DON'T BE YELLOW, DUMP BOEHNER NOW CAMPAIGN. "You can order your letters sent today, and they will be ready for delivery when the new Congress reconvenes in January. It would be great to see thousands or, better yet, tens of thousands flooding in that first week. That will make an impression that cannot be ignored by Republican members of the House," he said. "I'm excited. Now it's up to you. I've already ordered my letters. I've even secured the domain names DumpBoehnerCampaign.com and DumpBoehnerNow.com for social media dissemination. Tell your friends," he wrote. Recruit your friends, neighbors, and fellow commuters to the "Don't Be Yellow: Dump Boehner Now" campaign with this exclusive bumper sticker. The letter explains to members of the U.S. House that two issues have "prompted Americans to turn in droves to the Republican Party in November 2014 – Barack Obama's blatantly unconstitutional executive action to provide amnesty to millions of illegal aliens, and the deliberately deceptive restructuring of America's health-care system through Obamacare, which threatens to unravel the greatest health delivery system in the world." Pointing out that Republicans before the election "solemnly vowed to STOP this lame-duck president," the letter states: "Now you have the power, right and duty to stop him. "But it won't happen with John Boehner leading you. You know this to be true. The trillion-dollar budget deal is just the latest proof that Boehner is not capable of leading the House to victory during this critical period." It calls on members to replace him. On Twitter, the hashtags #BoehnerMustGo and #DumpBoehner were surging, and other commentators, while not adopting the specific letter-writing campaign, agreed with the goal. JOIN THE DON'T BE YELLOW, DUMP BOEHNER NOW CAMPAIGN. Farah noted that the launch of the program rivals the historic "Pink Slip Campaign" in 2010 that generated some 9.5 million letters to Congress. "Americans are angry about Boehner's betrayal of the voters who gave him a bigger majority in the House and Republicans control of the Senate. This could prove to be Boehner's undoing," he said. The campaign allows people to send letters, with their own names and addresses via FedEx, all for the one price of $29.95, to each of the House GOP members. Farah said, "From previous campaigns we know this approach prompts members to talk about the boxes of letters that are coming into their offices each day. And that's exactly what we want to do with the DUMP BOEHNER CAMPAIGN – a grass-roots lobbying effort that can channel your outrage into effective and meaningful action." He said what can be guaranteed is that members "will see, hear and feel your participation in it." "We saw the same thing in 2010," recalled Farah. "People were angry then. They may be angrier now. It is as if elections have no consequences when Republicans vote." JOIN THE DON'T BE YELLOW, DUMP BOEHNER NOW CAMPAIGN. |
Amenper: Talking about Killings
Because of the killing of
black individuals (not African American, they weren't from Africa) during their
detention while committing a crime, we hear a lot about the legal concept of
killing another person.
This legal concept of
killings in America is somehow different than ours, back in our original
countries.
It is a pragmatic
classification by the motivations of the person which did the killing, and it
is defined by specific words at each situation.
Murder is
the unlawful killing, with malice aforethought, of another human, and generally
this premeditated state of mind distinguishes murder from other forms of
unlawful homicide (such as manslaughter)
Unlawful killings without
malice or intent are considered Manslaughter
Killing acting in self-defense or in
defense of another person is generally accepted as legal justification for
killing a person in situations that would otherwise have been murder.
However, a self-defense
killing might be considered manslaughter if the killer established control of
the situation before the killing took place. In the case of self-defense it is
called a "justifiable
homicide" or “justifiable Manslaughter”
Assassination is the murder of a person, often
a political or military figure by a surprise attack, usually for
payment, political reasons or for what they represent.
An accessory to murder or Assassination is a person who assists, incite or
contract another person in the commission of a crime, but who does not actually
participate in the commission of the crime as a joint principal
At Nuremberg the Nazi
officials were condemned as accessory to murder for their role in perpetrating
the Holocaust.
If you read the above
carefully, you may draw the following conclusions:
The Policemen were innocent,
they were not murderers, because they were acting in Self-defense
The two New York
policemen were assassinated by an Assassin
Bil de Blasio, Al
Sharpton, Eric Holder, and Barack Hussein Obama should be arrested and
condemned as accessories to Assassination
2014’s
War On Hunters Revisited
...the most vicious of these crusades targeted females and children.
As Western Journalism has chronicled, this year
has been marked by several pointed, vitriolic assaults on those who choose to
embrace hunting – either as a sport or a way of life. Furthermore, the
anti-hunting activists behind the most vicious of these crusades targeted
females and children.
Eleven-year-old Gavin
Dingman was excited to take
down a 12-point albino buck with his crossbow during an October hunting trip
with his father. His celebration continued when a photo of him alongside the
impressive animal gained the attention of outdoorsman and television host
Jordan Browne.
After Browne shared the image on social media,
Dingman received encouragement – and even a few business opportunities – from
fellow hunters and sporting goods retailers.
Unfortunately, the response was not all
positive. Plenty of vindictive anti-hunting bullies disparaged the child and
his love of hunting, some going so far as to suggest he should be killed.
“There was one comment that someone should
shoot that kid with an arrow and others along those lines,” Browne confirmed.
“There were a lot of ignorant people blaming and scolding the parents for
letting their child hunt, or as they put it, ‘murder’ things.”
Texas Tech cheerleader Kendall
Jones faced similar backlash
after posting images of her hunting expeditions to her Facebook page earlier
this year.
“I think we should dress you and your crew up
like the animals you’ve killed and will use are [sic] guns to hunt y’all,” one
commenter posted. “Your [sic] nothing but a dumb teen who wants to be on TV,
well great start to your already failing career and life choice. People like
you have no right to walk this earth[;] you’ll never be able to say anything to
justify your actions.”
The murderous tone was echoed by many other
critics, including purported Democrat congressional candidate Mike
Dickinson, who publicly hoped Jones “meets her maker” during a hunting trip
before offering a $100,000 bounty for anyone who could produce “nude photos or
sex videos” of her.
Finally, Eva
Shockey, a popular hunter and daughter of television host Jim Shockey, said
she received “5,000-plus death threats in one day” following the publication of
a photo she took after hunting a 500 pound black bear.
She explained that most of the more vicious and
graphic threats were removed as to not upset her friends and fans; however, one
particularly disturbing comment suggested she kill her “little worthless dog”
instead of hunting wildlife.
“Apparently hunting a bear, eating/donating all
of the meat and putting money towards conservation is a bad thing,” she wrote
on Facebook, “but killing my puppy is ok. If this logic isn’t totally insane, I
don’t know what is.”
She struck back by producing her own line of clothing bearing the resolute phrase, “I’ll
never apologize for being a hunter.”
The
Times People Called For Obama’s Impeachment In 2014
...multiple prominent
figures in the conservative movement...F. PETER BROWN
Obama’s impeachment was called for by multiple
prominent figures in the conservative movement during 2014. Here’s a list of
some of the biggest names:
1) Former Alaska governor and Tea Party
favorite Sarah Palin defended an Obama impeachment in a column on Breitbart in July 2014.
Palin pointed to the current immigration crisis as the
primary reason to impeach Obama. She compared Obama to an abusive husband and
said that it was time for his wife, the American people, to say, “No more.”
2) Former Senate candidate Joe Miller echoed Palin’s call for impeachment, saying that “Sarah
Palin is right; it’s time to impeach this President for dereliction of duty,
selectively enforcing the law, and usurping powers that the Constitution does
not authorize. He is willfully undermining the rule of law and creating chaos.”
3) Former Congressman and then-Congressional
candidate Bob Barr called for an Obama impeachment.
4) Congressman Steve Stockman said, after walking out of Obama’s State of the Union address, “Even
worse, Obama has openly vowed to break his oath of office and begin enacting
his own brand of law through executive decree. This is a wholesale violation of
his oath of office and a disqualifying offense.”
5) Judge Andrew Napolitano called Obama a “candidate for impeachment,” and said
that, if Obama pursues executive amnesty, Americans have “very little recourse”
other than impeachment.
What do you think? Given Obama’s executive
amnesty and disregard of the rule of law, is it time for impeachment? Do
Republicans have any excuse not to pursue it, given the new influx of
Republicans in Congress?

North Korea Calls Obama
‘Monkey’
Oh
great. Now they’ve done it. They had to go and get racial. That is probably a
line that cannot be crossed. If there was ever a redline with liberals this is
it.
Check it out:
Check it out:
North
Korea lashed out at the United States on Saturday, blaming the American
government for widespread Internet outages reported in the country and hurling
a racial slur at President Obama.
According
to the Associated Press, the North Korean National Defense Commission, the
country’s top government branch, accused President Obama of being responsible
for the release of the Sony Pictures comedy The Interview, which the North
Korean government had previously called “an act of war.”
“Obama
always goes reckless in words and deeds like a monkey in a tropical forest,” an
unidentified spokesman from the commission’s Policy Department reportedly told
North Korean news agency KCNA.
The
spokesman added that the United States, “a big country, started disturbing the
Internet operation of major media of the DPRK, not knowing shame like children
playing a tag,” the AP reported.

No, North Korea Didn’t Hack Sony The Daily Beast,
Patrick George/Alamy
The FBI and the President may claim that the Hermit
Kingdom is to blame for the most high-profile network breach in forever. But
almost all signs point in another direction.
The news that the satirical movie—which revolves
around a plot to murder Kim Jong-Un—will have a Christmas Day release as
planned, will prompt renewed scrutiny of whether, as the US authorities have
officially claimed, the cyber-attack on Sony really was the work of an elite group
of North Korean governmenthackers.
All the evidence leads me to believe that the great
Sony Pictures hack of 2014 is far more likely to be the work of one disgruntled
employee facing a pink slip.
I may be biased, but, as the director of security
operations for DEF CON, the world’s largest hacker conference, and the
principal security researcher for the world's leading mobile security
company, Cloudflare, I think I am worth hearing out.
The FBI was very clear in its press release about who
it believed was responsible for the attack: “The FBI now has enough information
to conclude that the North Korean government is responsible for these actions,”
they said in their December 19 statement, before adding, “the need
to protect sensitive sources and methods precludes us from sharing all of this
information”.
With that disclaimer in mind, let’s look at the
evidence that the FBI are able to tell us about.
The first piece of evidence described in the FBI
bulletin refers to the malware found while examining the Sony Picture’s network
after the hack.
“Technical analysis of the data deletion malware used
in this attack revealed links to other malware that the FBI knows North Korean
actors previously developed. For example, there were similarities in specific
lines of code, encryption algorithms, data deletion methods, and compromised
networks.”
So, malware found in the course of investigating the
Sony hack bears “strong” similarities to malware found in other attacks
attributed to North Korea.
This may be the case—but it is not remotely plausible
evidence that this attack was therefore orchestrated by
North Korea.
The FBI is likely referring to two pieces of malware
in particular, Shamoon, which targeted companies in the oil and energy sectors
and was discovered in August 2012, and DarkSeoul, which on June 25, 2013, hit
South Korea (it was the 63rd anniversary of the start of the Korean War).
Even if these prior attacks were coordinated by North
Korea—and plenty of security experts including me doubt that—the fact that the
same piece of malware appeared in the Sony hack is far from being convincing
evidence that the same hackers were responsible. The source code for the
original “Shamoon” malware is widely known to have leaked. Just because two
pieces of malware share a common ancestry, it obviously does not mean they
share a common operator. Increasingly, criminals actually lease their malware
from a group that guarantees their malware against detection. Banking malware
and certain “crimeware”, kits have been using this model for years.
So the first bit of evidence is weak.
But the second bit of evidence given by the FBI is
even more flimsy:
“The FBI also observed significant overlap between the
infrastructure used in this attack and other malicious cyber activity the U.S.
government has previously linked directly to North Korea. For example, the FBI
discovered that several Internet protocol (IP) addresses associated with known
North Korean infrastructure communicated with IP addresses that were hardcoded
into the data deletion malware used in this attack.”
What they are saying is that the Internet addresses
found after the Sony Picture attack are “known” addresses that had previously
been used by North Korea in other cyberattacks.
To cyber security experts, the naivety of this
statement beggars belief. Note to the FBI: Just because a system with a
particular IP address was used for, cybercrime does not mean that from now on
every time you see that IP address you can link it to cybercrime. Plus, while
sometimes IPs can be “permanent”, at other times IPs last just a few seconds.
It is not the IP address that the FBI should be
paying attention to. Rather the server or service’s behind it.
As with much of this investigation, our information is
somewhat limited. The FBI have not released all the evidence, so we have to go
by what information is available publicly. Perhaps the most interesting and
indeed relevant of this is the C2 (or Command and Control) addresses found in
the malware. These addresses were used by whoever carried out the attack to
control the malware and can be found in the malware code itself. They are:
● 202.131.222.102—Thailand
● 217.96.33.164—Poland
● 88.53.215.64—Italy
● 200.87.126.116—Bolivia
● 58.185.154.99—Singapore
● 212.31.102.100—Cyprus
● 208.105.226.235—USA
Taking a look at these addresses, we find that all but
one of them are public proxies. Furthermore, checking online IP reputation
services reveals that malware operators have used them in the past. This isn’t
in the least bit surprising: in order to avoid attribution cybercriminals
routinely use things like proxies to conceal their connections. No sign of any
North Koreans, just lots of common, or garden, internet cybercriminals.
It is this piece of evidence—freely available to
anyone with an enquiring mind and a modicum of cyber security experience—which
I believe that the FBI is so cryptically referring to when they talk about
“additional evidence” they cannot reveal without compromising “national
security”.
Essentially, we are being left in a position where we
are expected to just take agency promises at face value. In the current
climate, that is a big ask.
If we turn the debate around, and look at some
evidence that the North Koreans might NOT be behind the Sony hack, the picture
looks significantly clearer.
1. First of all, there is the fact that the attackers
only brought up the anti-North Korean bias of “The Interview” after the media
did—the film was never mentioned by the hackers right at the start of their
campaign. In fact, it was only after a few people started speculating in the
media that this and the communication from North Korea “might be linked” that
suddenly it did get linked. My view is that the attackers saw this as an
opportunity for “lulz”, and a way to misdirect everyone. (And wouldn’t you know
it? The hackers are now saying it’s okay for Sony to release the movie, after all.) If everyone believes it
is a nation state, then the criminal investigation will likely die. It is the
perfect smokescreen.
2. The hackers dumped the data. Would a state with a
keen understanding of the power of propaganda be so willing to just throw away
such a trove of information? The mass dump suggests that whoever did this,
their primary motivation was to embarrass Sony Pictures. They wanted to
humiliate the company, pure and simple.
3. Blaming North Korea offers an easy way out for the
many, many people who allowed this debacle to happen; from Sony Pictures
management through to the security team that were defending Sony Picture’s
network.
4. You do not need to be a conspiracy theorist to see
that blaming North Korea is quite convenient for the FBI and the current U.S.
administration. It is the perfect excuse to push through whatever new, strong,
cyber-laws they feel are appropriate, safe in the knowledge that an outraged
public is fairly likely to support them.
5. Hard-coded paths and passwords in the malware make
it clear that whoever wrote the code had extensive knowledge of Sony’s internal
architecture and access to key passwords. While it’s (just) plausible that a
North Korean elite cyber unit could have built up this knowledge over time and
then used it to make the malware, Occam’s razor suggests the simpler
explanation of a pissed-off insider. Combine that with the details of
several layoffs that Sony was planning and you do not have to stretch the
imagination too far to consider that a disgruntled Sony employee might be at
the heart of it all.
I am no fan of the North Korean regime. However, I
believe that calling out a foreign nation over a cybercrime of this magnitude
should never have been undertaken on such weak evidence.
The evidence used to attribute a nation state in such
a case should be solid enough that it would be both admissible and effective in
a court of law. As it stands, I do not believe we are anywhere close to meeting
that standard.

Michele
Bachmann Accuses Obama Of Assisting Anti-Israel Jihadists
“...also into an Islamic caliphate.”"
In a recent radio interview with Family Research Council President Tony
Perkins, retiring Rep. Michele Bachmann indicted Barack Obama for his perceived
complicity in the ongoing Islamic effort to destroy Israel.
“I was privileged to serve on the Intelligence
Committee for the last four years,” the Minnesota lawmaker said. “We deal with
the classified secrets of the nation – in particular, we deal with terrorism.”
She explained that she had a “front row seat in
watching this up-tempo of Islamic jihad across the world,” describing the rise
in terrorism and targeting of Israel as a “spiritual battle.”
Bachmann emphatically disputed Obama’s
contention that the acts of Islamic radicals have nothing to do with the
religion they espouse.
“I beg to differ,” she said. “This has
everything to do with the tenets of Islam; and it is a new state that is being
put together for the purpose of destroying Israel and to turn the United States
also into an Islamic caliphate.”
Acknowledging such an allegation might sound
“wild and fantastic,” she continued by assigning a significant portion of the
blame to the Obama administration.
She said she has watched Obama, “at every turn,
cut the legs of our ally, Israel, and in fact embrace and lift up the agenda of
Islamic jihad.”
Obama’s ostensibly enthusiastic support of
Iran’s leader as that nation reportedly moves toward the creation of a nuclear
weapon, Bachmann said, is a further cause for serious concern.
“There’s a recent report that the president is
trying to have private meetings with the ayatollah in Iran,” she said,
explaining the country is “very clear about their goal” to obtain a nuclear
weapon.
Obama believes, she asserted, that “through his
own charm and negotiating skills … he can cause them to change course.”
She recalled her last one-on-one conversation with Obama, during which she explained to
him the importance of stopping Iran before it can achieve its goal.
In response to her concern, Bachmann said Obama
laughed at her “condescendingly” and told her “it isn’t that easy.”
She responded by saying that, “if Iran has
a nuclear weapon, it will be on your watch,” adding that “the history of the
world will change because of your failure to act.” Read more at http://www.westernjournalism.com/michelle-bachmann-accuses-obama-assisting-anti-israel-jihadists/#Bm6xXlivyGOhPB72.99
Destroying
America by Destroying the Job Market
Obama’s destructive economic policies have hurt his most ardent
supporters the most: College Graduates, Blacks and young people.
College graduates can’t find work. According to a recent BLS
chart, 16% of graduates and 12% with advanced degrees were unemployed.(1) Others are working, but can’t find
work commensurate with their qualifications. In 2012, over 10% of those
employed, nearly 300,000 college graduates, including 37,000 with advanced
degrees, were working in minimum wage jobs as waiters, bartenders, baristas,
etc.(2) This is double the numbers under Bush in 2007.
College graduates have an average student loan debt of nearly $27,000.
Obama now controls student loans and has mandated they cannot be forgiven in
bankruptcy. Earning minimum wages, you will never retire that debt. You
must continue to pay interest and principal on student loans until you die.
Blacks have even more difficulty finding jobs. Blacks without
diplomas have an unemployment rate of over 50%! (3,4)With a high
school diploma, their unemployment rate is still an astronomical 26%!!
Obama claims to love blacks, but has done nothing to create jobs for them
in the inner cities. Just look at Detroit and Chicago, his hometown!
Young people under 25 also have an unemployment rate of 24%.(5) America’s unemployment is almost the
same as in Greece, Cyprus and Spain, which are now recognized as failed
countries.
Obama and his flunkeys constantly fudge the numbers. They say
unemployment decreased from 7.9% in January to 7.7% in February; and brag that
the economy created 88,000 jobs in March 2013.(6) But they
ignored the 663,000 discouraged people who stopped looking for jobs.
Over 90 million people are now unemployed. With a population of
315 million today, we only have the same number of jobs we had in 1979, when
our population was only 222 million. Nearly 100 million more people but only
the same number of jobs!! This is nothing to brag about. It is a
disgrace.
The correct way to look at unemployment is to include the unemployed,
those who are underemployed (like graduates working as waiters) and those who
have given up looking. This number is 25%, meaning one in four people
cannot find work!!(7)
The job market is depressed because of Obama’s economic policies. He has
squandered billions on his green energy cronies without creating jobs.(8)
$2.8 Billion for Ivanpah, but it will hire only 80 workers!! His Trillion-dollar
“stimulus” only stimulated wealth for his cronies, but did not create jobs. He
never stops taxing and spending but doesn’t care about massive fraud and
waste. His constant vituperation of the “rich,” (meaning those who create
jobs) and massive increases in regulations and taxes makes it impossible for
small businesses to survive. Add Obamacare and its 32 new taxes and you
can understand why private businesses won’t expand or hire more workers.
Another reason for lack of jobs is that low-skilled jobs are being taken
by illegals willing to work for much less than Americans. Liberals blame
American businesses for hiring illegals; but they are silent about their own
illegal nannies and gardeners.
There are two solutions to this problem. Either Obama could stop
demonizing job creators; stop wasting money; reduce crippling regulations;
reduce taxes; and work with the private sector to create jobs. And he could
enforce our border and make sure illegals aren’t taking jobs away from American
citizens. Or he could do the opposite.
Given how hard it is for our young people to find jobs; does it make
sense for Obama to keep destroying small businesses? Considering how much more
difficult it is for those with less education; does it make sense for Obama to
insist on handing their jobs to 15-20 million illegals?

ACLU Sues Ferguson Schools For Being “Too White”
IF their candidates were denied the right to run based on the color of skin, or
if they were suppressed from running, they would have cause to sue. Neither of
those scenarios are represented by this lawsuit. Attempting to discredit the
votes of the white majority in that district to provide for a black minority is
beyond wrong. Not to mention, this completely discredits the voting system that
has been established and has worked without complaint since 1975.
The
American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) filed a lawsuit last week on behalf of
the NAACP against Ferguson School districts for being “too white” and
discriminating against African-Americans.
According
to the federal complaint filed against the school district, the system used to
elect the members of its school board dilutes the “black vote,” causing
African-Americans not to be represented properly on the school board. According
to the lawsuit, six of the seven board members are white, although seventy
percent of the school is African-American.
The
ACLU lawsuit was filed on behalf of the Missouri NAACP and the district’s black
residents, according to an ACLU press release. The complaint charges that the
at-large voting system violates the Voting Rights Act, as it “impermissibly
denies African-American voters an equal opportunity to participate in the
political process and to elect representatives of their choice.” (Huffington
Post)
While
this does seem a little discriminatory the way that it is presented in the
lawsuit by the ACLU, as other organizations have pointed out, it is simply not
factual.
