Amenper: Turning their Fame into
Dollars
Adam Smith, in his seminal work The Wealth of
Nations, described wealth as "the annual produce of the land and labor of
the society". This "produce" is, at its simplest, that which
satisfies human needs and wants of utility.
Adam Smith saw wealth creation as the
combination of materials, labor, land, and technology in such a way as to
capture a profit (excess above the cost of production).
Industrialization emphasized the role of
technology. Many jobs were automated. Machines replaced some workers while other
workers became more specialized. Labor specialization became critical to
economic success.
Modern labor-saving inventions and the development of the sciences have
vastly improved the standard of living in modern societies for even the poorest
of people.
The concept of wealth is of significance in
all areas of economics, and clearly so for growth economics and development
economics.
But there is a new method to create wealth
today in this modern world.
The difference is that with this method only
the individual gets the income, these wealth creators do not create any
product, they economy of the country does not grow with their income, only
their pocket grows.
The new method to create personal wealth is
done by creating a celebrity status into income.
The Kardashian family is famous for three
things: their looks, their ability to turn those looks into celebrity, and
their determination to turn celebrity into income.
They did not invent the lucrative industries
of paid celebrity appearances or reality television, but they are close to
perfecting them.
Many people are eagerly following their lead
because the Kardashian economy is thriving. They have earned $28 million last
year as a reward for making herself famous.
A perusal of the Forbes list of the highest
earning athletes reveals that many of those at the top of the list make more
from endorsements and appearances than directly from their athletic skills.
Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, LeBron James, and Roger Federer are all examples
of athletes who have successfully joined the Kardashian economy.
Politicians are also joining the
Kardashian economy. The Clintons are the champions at turning their fame into
dollars, netting over $100 million from book deals and speeches in the past
decade, but they are far from alone. Politicians that previously became
lobbyists to cash in on their connections now can follow the much easier path
of having a book ghost written and making a few speeches in order to make just
as much money from their name recognition. Hillary Clinton last march charged
$300,000.00 for a speech at the University of UCLA.
The wealth of most of the politicians come
from books that somebody else wrote for them, (Ghost writers) those benefiting
for being famous by selling books include president Obama. Follow the link
So this new wealth is a personal wealth that
does not produce any wealth for the nation, less for the poor or any of the
citizens that they claim to serve, on the contrary, their wealth come from the
people, the people become their servants.
Adam Smith did not see this new wealth
production, his books didn´t produce the income that we see nowadays, and his
books produced intellectual wealth, something that we can´t say about these new
"book producers" with ghost writers, using a way to produce
income from the people, just because they are celebrities. All image and not substance-

Kelly Schools Radio Host On Grand Jury Process
"Who
are you to second guess them?"
Radio host Richard Fowler provided a live report from
Ferguson Monday night on Fox News Channel’s The
Kelly File when he blamed the
grand jury process for not giving Michael Brown justice.
There’s no question that this situation has de-stabilized very, very
quickly here in Ferguson, Missouri. But
the truth of the matter is that across this country there’s a lot of people
that are very angry about this and that this grand jury did not come down with
an indictment tonight. And
that caused this anger no matter what side of this you’re on.
Fowler claimed that there are two sides to the story
that should have been heard by a “real” jury and a “real” trial:
But that’s neither here nor there tonight, Megyn, the mood here is heavy
and while there was effort for peaceful protesting clearly the anger has gotten
out of control.
This is when Kelly had to give Fowler a dose of
reality:
Richard, but the reason the anger has gotten out of control, many would
posit to you, is because these fires, so to speak, have been stoked by people
who refuse to trust in the system, the grand jury system, which is the way our
country works. And that
grand jury met for three months, one time a week, twelve people, in good faith
and they looked at all the evidence, sixty witnesses they listened to, and they
disagreed with you. They
know more than you do and they said there is no probable cause for any of these
charges. Who are you to
second guess them?
Fowler insisted that many people are angry because
“this prosecutor made some huge blunders.” Kelly responded that in 9 out
of 10 cases, a police shooting would not even get a grand jury proceeding
because the officer’s testimony is credible enough. Fowler continued in an
emotional rant that people are angry because a young “unarmed” black male was
shot in the streets of Ferguson by a police officer. Kelly attempted to
correct Fowler’s misinformation:
But Richard, you are ignoring the fact that what the prosecutor told us
tonight was that there was testimony that, A) That man who wound up shot dead,
attacked a police officer after he just committed a robbery, he attacked a
police officer sitting in his car and punched his face, and then…
Fowler attempted to talk over the Fox News host, but
she insisted on finishing her thought process:
Listen, let me finish then I’ll give you the floor, then ran, then
turned around and charged the officer. That
prosecutor said, that several, several, African-American witnesses came forward
to say they saw the African-American 18-year-old coming towards the police
officer while the police officer had his gun drawn.
Fowler claimed that the prosecutor did not give the
grand jury clear charges against Officer Darren Wilson and was unable to give
an independent view because of his connections to the police department. Kelly
concluded the segment:

M. Aleman: Meet Maine 's New Governor --- For real?
In case
you haven't heard about this guy before, his name will stick in your mind!
The new
Maine Governor, Paul LePage is
making New Jersey 's Chris Christie look timid. He isn't afraid to say what he
thinks. Judging by the comments, every time he opens his mouth, his
popularity goes up.
He
brought down the house at his inauguration when he shook his fist toward the
media box and said, "You're on notice! I've inherited a financially
troubled State to run. Observe...cover what we do..but don't whine if I don't
waste time responding to your every whim just for your amusement."
During
his campaign for Governor, he was talking to commercial fishermen who are
struggling because of federal fisheries rules. They complained that 0bama
brought his family to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park for a long Labor Day
holiday and found time to meet with union leaders, but wouldn't talk to the
fishermen. LePage replied, "I'd tell him to go to hell and get out of my
State." The Lame Stream Media crucified LePage, but he jumped 6 points in
the pre-election poll.
The
Martin Luther King incident was a political sandbag, which brought him national
exposure. The 'lame stream' media crucified him, but word on the street is very
positive. The NAACP specifically asked LePage to spend MLK Day visiting black
inmates at the Maine State Prison. He told them that he would meet with ALL
inmates, regardless of race, if he were to visit the prison. The NAACP balked
and then put out a news release claiming falsely that he refused to participate
in any MLK events. He read it in the paper for the 1st time the next morning
while being driven to an event and went ballistic because none of the reporters
had called him for comment before running the NAACP release.
He
arrived at that event & said in front of a TV camera, "If they want to
play the race card on me they can kiss my ass", and he reminded them that
he has an adopted black son from Jamaica and that he attended the local MLK
Breakfast every year that he was mayor of Waterville. (He started his morning
there on MLK Day.)
He then
stated that there's a right way and a wrong way to meet with the Governor, and
he put all special interests on notice that press releases, media leaks, and
all demonstrations would prove to be the wrong way. He said any other group,
which acted like the NAACP could expect to be at the bottom of the Governor's
priority list!
He then
did the following, and judging from local radio talk show callers, his
popularity increased even more: The State employees union complained because he
waited until 3 P.M. before closing State offices and facilities and sending
non-emergency personnel home during the last blizzard. The prior Governor would
often close offices for the day with just a forecast before the first flakes.
(Each time the State closes for snow, it costs the taxpayers about $1 million
in wages for no work in return.)
LePage
was CEO of the Marden's chain of discount family bargain retail stores before
election as governor. He noted that State employees getting off work early
could still find lots of retail stores open to shop. So, he put the State
employees on notice by announcing: "If Marden's is open, Maine is
open!"
He told
State employees: "We live in Maine in the winter, for heaven's sake, and
should know how to drive in it. Otherwise, apply for a State job in Florida
!"
Governor
LePage symbolizes what America needs. Refreshing politicians who aren't
self-serving and who exhibit common sense.
THE LAW IS THE LAW!
HERE IS WHAT Governor LaPage said,
"THE
LAW IS THE LAW So "if" the US government determines that it is
against the law for the words "under God" to be on our money, then,
so be it.
And
"if" that same government decides that the "Ten
Commandments" are not to be used in or on a government installation, then,
so be it.
I say,
"so be it," because I would like to be a law abiding US citizen
I say,
"so be it," because I would like to think that smarter people than I
are in positions to make good decisions.
I would
like to think that those people have the American public's best interests at
heart.
BUT, he
said, "YOU KNOW WHAT ELSE I'D LIKE?
Since we can't pray to
God, can't Trust in God and cannot post His Commandments in Government
buildings, I don't believe Government (Federal, State and Local) and its
employees should participate in Easter and Christmas celebrations which honor
the God that our government is eliminating from many facets of American life.
I'd like my mail
delivered on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving & Easter. After all,
it's just another day.
I'd like the" US
Supreme Court to be in session on Christmas, Good Friday, Thanksgiving
& Easter as well as Sundays." After all, it's just another day.
I'd like the Senate and
the House of Representatives to not have to worry about getting home for the
"Christmas Break." After all it's just another day.
I'm thinking a lot of my
taxpayer dollars could be saved, if all government offices & services would
work on Christmas, Good Friday & Easter. It shouldn't cost any
overtime since those would be just like any other day of the week to a
government that is trying to be "politically correct."
In fact....I think our
government should work on Sundays (AFTER ALL, It was initially set aside for
worshipping God....) because, AFTER ALL, our government says that it should be
Just ANOTHER DAY...."
What do
you all think???? If this idea gets to enough people, maybe our elected
officials will stop giving in to the "minority opinions" and begin,
once again, to represent the "majority" of ALL of the American
people.
If this gets around the
country a few times, I believe we all will see a better day!

Obama to Hold Meetings Monday on Ferguson
President Barack Obama will discuss the situation in Ferguson, Missouri,
Monday with his Cabinet, civil rights leaders, law enforcement, officials and
others.
The White House says Obama's Cabinet meeting will focus on his administration's review of federal programs that provide military-style equipment to law enforcement agencies.
The White House says the president will also meet with young civil rights leaders to discuss the challenges posed by "mistrust between law enforcement and communities of color." He'll then meet with government and law enforcement officials, as well as other community leaders, to discuss how to strengthen neighborhoods.

Protests
have continued in Ferguson and around the nation, but have been more muted than
the violence sparked last week by a grand jury's decision not to indict a
police officer in the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown.
There have been demonstrations in more than 100 cities around the country, on public roadways, in shopping malls and government buildings.
There have been demonstrations in more than 100 cities around the country, on public roadways, in shopping malls and government buildings.
On
Sunday, demonstrators temporarily shut down part of the busy Interstate 395
highway that runs through Washington, D.C., police said. The protest lasted
less than an hour as people formed a human chain to block traffic in both
directions.
Anger
spilled onto the playing field when the NFL's St. Louis Rams played Oakland at
home on Sunday. Some of the Rams entered the stadium with their hands raised
overhead, a show of solidarity with Brown, who some witnesses say had his hands
in the air when Wilson fired the fatal shots.
About
40 or 50 protesters briefly blocked a street outside Edward Jones Dome in
downtown St. Louis after the game and later marched through the surrounding
streets chanting "black lives matter."
Many
Rams fans, mostly white men, applauded riot police as they followed the
demonstrators. A handful of demonstrators were seen being taken into custody.

Urgent: Should Obamacare Be Repealed? Vote Here Now!
Amenper: Socialismo del siglo XXI
La Envidia al Rico…..
Pero no lo envidies si es
Compinche.

JESUS & RIOTERS: I Dare Black Ministers To Read This To Their Church. by Doug Giles
Last week, as I was watched the Ferguson
fiasco go down, I kept bouncing back and forth between CNN and MSLSD to see
how the Left was pitching this massive destruction of personal and private
property on behalf of the “innocent” and “gentle giant”, Michael Brown.
Both networks had black ministers on
throughout the week that basically justified the riots. Yes, some pooh-poohed
the extreme acts of violence, however several of them didn’t really crap on the
“protestors”.
Chief amongst the “ministers” who didn’t seem
to care what chaos was created was the Reverend Al Sharpton and his spirit-twin
the Reverend Jesse Jackson.
As I watched these “men of God” cheerlead
this mess, I started thinking to myself, “Self … what Bible do they read? … ‘The Race-Baiters
Grievance Edition?’ “; because no one who’s ever traipsed through an
unadulterated New Testament would think that such mayhem, for such a flimsy —
no … farcical — reason is remotely justifiable. That is if, and that’s a big
“if”, Jesus is the standard for a person’s behavior.
Indeed, if one read just a smidgen of Jesus’s
teachings they would quickly deduce that if Christ were the blueprint for the
believer, then the behavior of these looting morons is contemptible and worthy
of a true minister’s rebuke and wide spread public condemnation. But, eh … not
so much for the likes of the Reverend Sharpton and Jackson, which left me
thinking that they must revere something else other than the Jesus of The
Gospels because the Christ of the Scripture wouldn’t back their race-baiting
and destructive behavior or anyone that fans those hideous flames.
