“En mi opinión” Estimados amigos ya yo estaba acostumbrado de que de cuando en cuando éra atacado electrónicamente, para tratar de sacarme del internet, medio que usamos para poder exponer “Nuestra opinión” Esto me ha costado muchos disgustos, dinero inclusive un robo en gran cuantía en mi casa, del cual la policía de Coral Gables no hizo absolutamente nada por resolver. Pero lo de los últimos días ha sido realmente una verdadera guerra. No sé si yo pueda seguir mucho tiempo en esto porque en un encabronamiento de estos me va a dar una “chiripioca” y ahí mismo me jodo. Cosa que hasta cierto punto no sería tan malo ya de una vez se quita de encima un gobierno tan mierda con el cual no vale la pena ni vivir. Como dice el himno. En cadenas vivir no es vivir… No vine de Cuba a verme gobernado por un dictador.  Tenemos un presidente que fue alunno de un terrorista Saul Alinsnky; que es musulmán, tiene un anillo puesto que dice que Alah es grande, un tipo que fumo mariguana y uso quien sabe que otras drogas. Una persona que tenía un room mate que era homosexual y el que apunta banquea, que se crio en países musulmanes de Africa y Polinesia, un individuo que no respeta ni la constitución ni las costumbre  y tradiciones de Los Estados Unidos y todo lo que  hace es para destruir a la nación americana. Tenemos  tanta porquería que lo apoya. Y tanta mierda que dicen que supuestamente lo rechazan llamados Republicanos y lo que son es Republica-mierda. Ustedes creen que el Sr. Que dirige la camara baja Bohener  esta ciertamente en contra de obama? Para enfrentarse a esta cosa monsturuosa, no te puedes poner plumas en el sombrero, decía Marty. Desgraciadamente tenmos demasiados “supuestos “ hombres que se ponen hasta maquillaje y se llaman políticos. En La Isabela les llamaban de otra forma. Los hombres de vergüenza no hacen eso, se enfrentan de frente a los que ultrajan el país y no les permiten todas las porquerías que está haciendo esta porquería de gobierno que está destruyendo el país y todo el mundo está como el pescado en la tarima. Con los ojos abiertos y no dice nada. Creo que con estas curitas de esparadrapo no se va a resolver nada.  Es una verdadera pena que este país fundado por verdaderos hombres, estamos ahora controlados por basura, basura en los dos partidos, covardes y personas sin honor ni moral. Todos son unos descarados, abusadores que lo único que les interesa es enriquecerse y los demás que se jodan.
¿Y todos nosotros que vamos a hacer?
Esperar que nos parta un rayo y de pronto que aparesca otro Comandante en Jefe y saldremos a nado, quien sabe pa’donde..

AMENPER: Inundaciones de Texas
 ¿La cifra de muertos en Texas debido a las inundaciones ha llegado a 21 – y el Reverendo Al Sharpton, presentador MSNBC, ahora ha planteado la pregunta:¿ son los desastres y muertes debido a la voluntad de Dios, o el cambio climático?
En un intento patético de ser tomado en serio, Sharpton realmente pedía a su audiencia un voto en una encuesta si pensaban que la inundación fue relacionada con el cambio climático o por reprimenda de Dios por no haber nosotros tomados “medidas” para evitar el cambio climático?"
Bueno yo tengo mi propia encuesta para ustedes ¿Crees que estas preguntas tontas del Reverendo están relacionados con un sistema educativo deficiente o simplemente por idiotez?
Ahora podemos entender por qué presidente Hussein Barack Obama había hablado a la clase de graduados de la guardia costera sobre los horrores del "cambio climático" ignorando los horrores reales de civiles decapitados y esclavos sexuales en Siria, Irak y Libia –El Reverendo Al Sharpton es su asesor de confianza y Sharpton no tiene mucho que decir sobre "Reprimenda de Dios" para ellos.
Pero vamos a dar una solución mejor sobre el problema de las inundaciones. 
El reverendo Sharpton puede servir para solucionar el problema.
Se puede presentar en el lugar inundado, entonces podemos poner un tramo de goma con una cánula rectal de las que usan para enemas.
Se pone un extremo del tramo de goma con una bomba de agua  en el sitio inundado sumergida en el agua, el otro extremo con la cánula en el orificio rectal del reverendo y comenzamos a bombear el agua hasta que se seque el terreno. Esto resolvería el problema ya haya sido producido por el cambio climático o por reprimenda de Dios.  Y estoy seguro que sería agradable a la voluntad de Dios.


AMENPER: El Libertinaje Libertario
Los que me conocen saben mi manera de pensar sobre los libertarios.  Fueron y son buenos aliados por su fanatismo incondicional a sus doctrinas, algo muy útil  cuando estamos en puntos coincidentes. Esto ayudó mucho en nuestra coincidencia contra el comunismo durante la guerra fría. En lo económico, son el sueño de una noche de verano para cualquier conservador.  Pero por sus ideas liberarías que parecen libertinaje en cuando al uso de drogas libertad sexual y el pacifismo incondicional en política exterior, no puedo apoyar a un libertario como presidente de los Estados Unidos.
Al principio oí muchos conservadores de poca experiencia sucumbir a los cantos de sirenas económicos de Rand Paul, sin mirar a la foto completa de su persona.  Sigo apoyando a Rand Paul como secretario del Tesoro, cuando me habla de desmantelar al IRS, se me cae la baba.  Pero creo que ya hasta los más encantados con sus discursos, se están dando cuenta de lo que es un libertario.
Ayer dijo que la culpa de la existencia de ISIS, eran los guerreristas republicanos, y que las políticas guerreristas republicanas habían estado equivocadas por los últimos 30 años.  Esto y su posición en cuanto a Cuba e Irán, demuestra que no estaba exagerando cuando dije que Paul Rand sería peor que Obama en política exterior.
Sigo considerando que se puede tener a los libertarios como aliados, dio resultados en los años cincuenta, y sus votos son una minoría apreciable y son convenientes y necesarios.  Simplemente, creo que Rand Paul debe de olvidarse de su aspiración presidencial, su presencia en los debates será municiones para Hillary que utilizará sus palabras para defender su política exterior.
Creo que para un libertario este no es el mejor momento para aspirar a la presidencia, con el peligro Islámico tan presente en la mente de los que lo pueden apreciar.  Un libertario pudiera ser un presidente en tiempo de paz, pero por favor, no en estos momentos.


EL MUNDO ENAJENADO DE
BARACK OBAMA

Desde sus primeras incursiones en la vida pública Barack Obama ha sido un camaleón que ha sabido ocultar su ideología política y la agenda que se proponía implantar si llegaba a ser gobierno. En su discurso de presentación de John Kerry como presidente en la Convención Nacional Demócrata en 2004, en Boston Massachusetts, Obama se vendió como un enamorado del sueño americano proclamando:"Yo digo esta noche que no hay una América de izquierda y una América de derecha, sino unos Estados Unidos de América." Y disfrazó aún más su diatriba politiquera afirmando: "Digo que no hay una América negra y una América blanca, una América latina y una América asiática, sino unos Estados Unidos de América". Se le olvidaron los indios americanos, pero no tuvo importancia porque los votos de esa minoría no deciden elecciones. El tiempo y su elección al poder nos mostrarían más adelante en toda su dimensión al fanático y enajenado Barack Obama.
Como ni el espacio de este artículo ni el nivel de atención de mis lectores es ilimitado, hago referencia a la última expresión del fanatismo y la enajenación de este sujeto. Hace sólo unos días el renuente Comandante en Jefe de las Fuerzas Armadas pronunció el discurso de graduación de cadetes de la Guardia Costera. En una página sacada de George Orwell, Obama dijo: "Estoy aquí para decir que el cambio climático constituye una seria amenaza a la seguridad mundial y una amenaza inmediata a nuestra seguridad nacional. Y, no se equivoquen, la misma impactará la forma en que nuestros militares defienden a nuestro país. Por lo tanto, tenemos que actuar y tenemos que actuar ahora mismo".
Más adelante manifestó que desequilibrios climáticos como la sequía en Nigeria crean las condiciones para que grupos terroristas como Boko Haram resulten atractivos a los marginados. Con respecto a grupos barbáricos como ISIS, Obama dijo que Estados Unidos ha logrado debilitarlo pero admite que todavía queda camino por andar. Tomando en cuenta que ISIS controla actualmente la mitad de Siria, la afirmación de Obama tiene que ser contemplada como la expresión de un hombre divorciado de la realidad. La definición casi exacta de un orate con credenciales para presidir el manicomio de Saint Elizabeth, ubicado precisamente a unas cuantas cuadras de la Casa Blanca, en la Ciudad de Washington .
Por su parte, algunos ex militares que no defienden sus puestos en el gobierno de Obama, le salieron al paso. El siempre moderado John McCain montó en cólera en el hemiciclo del Senado y dijo a grito pelado: "El Presidente de los Estados Unidos dice que debemos estar preocupados por el cambio climático. Yo estoy preocupado por el cambio climático pero me pregunto: "¿nos importa un comino lo que está pasando en las calles de Ramadi?'".
Por mi parte, creo que todos debemos estar interesados en un planeta limpio y, para ello, debemos eliminar las emisiones dañinas a la salud general. Pero de ahí a decirle a un grupo de jóvenes militares que la lucha contra el cambio climático es una prioridad constituye una alucinación. Estos jóvenes han mostrado su inclinación a defender este país frente a enemigos jurados como los terroristas islámicos, no en ser un ejército al servicio de la izquierda obsesa con una teoría cuya validez sigue siendo ampliamente debatida. Bill O'Reilly, de Fox News, lo dijo gráficamente: "Esto es como si George Washington le hubiese dicho a sus tropas (hambrientas y congeladas) en Valley Forge que debían concentrarse en elaborar velas de cera y cidra de manzana". Y yo me pregunto, si este delirio del presidente será resultado del "mejunje ideológico" ingerido por el niño Obama de manos de su abuelo zurdo y de mentores comunistas como Frank Marshall.
A mayor abundamiento, aunque no en la misma escala de maldad o dimensión de daño, Barack Obama tiene antecesores en la historia de fanáticos y enajenados que han desatado sus aberraciones psicológicas sobre las pueblos que han gobernado. En octubre de 1917, Vladimir Lenín y sus bolcheviques, un grupo minoritario dentro de la oposición rusa, se apoderaron del gobierno. Su primer acto fue reunir al consejo de soviets, asambleas de obreros, soldados y campesinos, para discutir las condiciones de la firma de un acuerdo de paz con Alemania, con quien se sostenía una guerra que había minado las finanzas rusas.
Como resultado, Rusia perdió varios territorios al oeste del país. Entre esa fecha y la caída del Muro de Berlín en 1989, la locura de la ideología comunista infringió al mundo más de 100 millones de muertos ( 20 millones en Rusia, 65 millones en China y 6 millones si sumamos a Vietnam, Corea, Camboya y Europa Oriental). Todo esto minuciosamente documentado en El libro negro del comunismo: crímenes, terror y represión (1997), un libro escrito por profesores universitarios e investigadores europeos y editado por Stéphane Courtois, director de investigaciones del Centre national de la recherche scientifique (CNRS).
Andando el tiempo, la "civilizada" y "sofisticada" Alemania cometió la estupidez de dar poder absoluto al orate de Adolfo Hitler, el cual ejerció su dictadura desde el 30 de enero de 1933 hasta el 8 de mayo de 1945 en que se dio un pistoletazo para evitar ser apresado por las tropas rusas. Después de la designación de Adolf Hitler como Canciller, el 30 de enero de 1933, los líderes del nuevo Gobierno (una coalición de nazis y nacionalistas alemanes) pasaron rápidamente a suspender los derechos civiles básicos de todos los alemanes. Hitler abolió la presidencia y se proclamó Führer del pueblo alemán (Volk). Todo el personal militar y todos los funcionarios públicos prestaron un nuevo juramento de lealtad personal hacia Hitler como Führer. Quien también conservó el cargo de canciller del Reich (jefe del Gobierno). La suerte fue echada y el mundo pagó el error del pueblo alemán y la debilidad de Occidente para enfrentar al monstruo con otros 100 millones de muertos.
En 1959, el pueblo cubano cometió el mismo error de los alemanes entregando su suerte a otro loco que se proclamó nuestro Mesías. No en balde, el monstruo decrépito que se niega a morir fue un admirador de Adolfo Hitler desde sus años de estudiante de secundaria. Desde su primer año en el gobierno, robado por la fuerza de las armas, se dedicó a exportar revolución y muerte, primero a todo el Continente Americano y más tarde a África y al Oriente Medio. Según "El Libro Negro del comunismo: crímenes, terror y represión" (1977), ya citado en este trabajo, el Castro Comunismo ha producido el saldo macabro de más de 150,000 muertos en Cuba y en otros país de la América Hispana, sin contar los ocasionados por sus guerras africanas como condotiero de la Unión Soviética.
El eslabón que une esta cadena de admiración de Barack Obama por los tiranos cubanos es su gestión para salvar del naufragio a un barco castrista cuyo casco ha sido horadado por 50 años de crímenes e injusticias. Con la segunda elección de este fanático camaleónico el pueblo norteamericano cometió el mismo error de alemanes y cubanos, así como ha mostrado una supina ignorancia política. Ya Washington no puede endilgarnos el calificativo despectivo de "republicas bananeras". Con su elección de Obama, este país ha demostrado no ser otra cosa que una república bananera cualquiera, sólo que con más dinero.
De hecho, ha quedado ampliamente demostrado que, bajo Barack Obama, el "Sueño Americano" ha devenido en una horrible pesadilla. Los blancos y los negros se odian con una intensidad que recuerda los años previos a los de la década de 1960. Los obreros han visto reducir sus ingresos en términos de poder adquisitivo. La clase media casi ha desaparecido. Los niños de familias pobres, tanto blancos como negros, no reciben una educación adecuada para competir por empleos bien remunerados.
En el ámbito internacional, los enemigos de los Estados Unidos no respetan a un presidente que amenaza sin cumplir su palabra ni temen a una potencia que se muestra renuente a utilizar la fuerza para defender la libertad en el mundo, como lo ha hecho en los 70 años posteriores al final de la Segunda Guerra Mundial. Como resultado, los aliados no confían en Barack Obama ni quieren ser identificados con una nación que suplica ser amada antes que demandar ser respetada.
Mientras tanto, este hombre ignora la realidad y, como el perro huevero, no puede sacudirse la obsesión izquierdista de considerar al cambio climático como una amenaza a la seguridad nacional de los Estados Unidos. Al igual que Nerón en el año 64 durante el incendio de Roma, Obama toca su arpa ideológica totalmente indiferente a las ominosas amenazas del terrorismo islámico. Y, como Nerón, a la hora de asignar culpabilidad por los males del país, Obama la emprende contra los cristianos. Nuestro último recurso es ponernos en manos de Dios, desde luego, siempre que no tengamos que pasar por las de su aliado en la resurrección del castrismo el Papa Francisco.

U.S. Economy Slips into Contraction in First Quarter

The U.S. economy contracted in the first quarter as it buckled under the weight of unusually heavy snowfalls and a resurgent dollar, but activity has rebounded modestly.
The government on Friday slashed its gross domestic product estimate to show it shrinking at a 0.7 percent annual rate instead of the 0.2 percent growth pace it estimated last month.
A larger trade deficit and a smaller accumulation of inventories by businesses than previously thought accounted for much of the downward revision. There was also a modest downward revision to consumer spending.
With growth estimates so far for the second quarter around 2 percent, the economy appears poised for its worst first-half performance since 2011.
Economists, however, caution against reading too much into the slump in output. They argue the GDP figure for the first quarter was held down by a confluence of temporary factors, including a problem with the model the government uses to smooth the data for seasonal fluctuations.
Economists, including those at the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank, have cast doubts on the accuracy of GDP estimates for the first quarter, which have tended to show weakness over the last several years.
They argued the so-called seasonal adjustment is not fully stripping out seasonal patterns, leaving "residual" seasonality. The government said last week it was aware of the potential problem and was working to minimize it.
When measured from the income side, the economy expanded at a 1.4 percent rate in the first quarter.
A measure of domestic demand was revised up one-tenth of a percentage point to a 0.8 percent rate and business spending on equipment was much stronger than previously estimated, taking some edge off the slump in output.
Economists had expected GDP would be revised down to show it contracting at a 0.8 percent pace.
DOLLAR, ENERGY DRAG
Apart from the statistical quirk, the economy, which expanded at a 2.2 percent pace in the fourth quarter, was hammered by labor disruptions at West Coast ports. Also dragging on growth was a sharp decline in investment spending in the energy sector as companies such as Schlumberger and Halliburton responded to the plunge in crude oil prices.
Spending on nonresidential structures, which includes oil exploration and well drilling, was revised up to show it tumbling at a 20.8 percent rate instead of the previously reported 23.1 pace. Mining exploration, shafts and wells investment plunged at a 48.6 percent pace, the largest since the second quarter of 2009.
Economists estimate unusually heavy snowfalls in February chopped at least one percentage point from growth.
Trade was hit both by the strong dollar and the ports dispute, which weighed on exports through the quarter and then unleashed a flood of imports in March after it was resolved.
That resulted in a trade deficit that subtracted 1.90 percentage points from GDP instead of the 1.25 percentage points reported last month.
The GDP report also showed after-tax corporate profits declined 8.7 percent. That was the largest drop in a year and the second quarterly fall, as the dollar weighed on multinational corporations and oil prices hurt domestic firms.
Multinationals like Microsoft Corp, household products maker Procter & Gamble Co and healthcare conglomerate Johnson & Johnson have warned the dollar will hit sales and profits this year.
While the economy has pulled out of its first-quarter stall, data on retail sales and industrial production have suggested only a modest pace of growth early in the second quarter. But reports on housing, consumer confidence and business spending plans indicated momentum could be building.
Unlike 2014, when growth snapped back quickly after a dismal first quarter, the dollar and investment cuts by energy companies continue to hamstring activity.
But growth could accelerate as the year progresses.
The value of inventory accumulated in the first quarter was revised down to an increase of $95 billion from the lofty $110.3 billion increase reported last month. That meant inventories contributed 0.33 percentage point to GDP instead of the previously reported 0.74 percentage point, suggesting warehouses are not bulging with unwanted merchandise and that businesses have latitude to order more goods from factories.
While consumer spending, which accounts for more than two-thirds of U.S. economic activity, was revised down by one-tenth of a percentage point to a 1.8 percent rate, it could finally get a lift from the considerable savings households amassed because of cheaper gasoline.
Personal savings increased at a robust $726.4 billion pace.
The dollar rally has faded and the greenback is about 4 percent off its peak in March against the currencies of the main U.S. trading partners, easing pressure on U.S. exporters. The Conservative Tribune explained the great lengths to which Obama has gone to mask the fact that he has long held communist friends and ideals:
President Barack Obama has long fought to minimize his association with his mentor during his teens, known communist Frank Marshall Davis.
In his book “Dreams From My Father,” the future president refused to refer to his mentor as anything other than “Frank.” In the audiobook version of “Dreams,” Obama went further and excised all references to “Frank.”
Unfortunately for Obama, his best efforts to conceal who he really is have failed, thanks to a little thing we like to call the Internet. You see, nothing can be buried forever if it exists within the bowels of the World Wide Web, which is where this video clip was tucked away.

In 1995, on his book tour at the Cambridge Public Library, Obama openly admitted that Frank Marshall Davis was his childhood mentor.
Red Flag News notes the implications of such an admission:
Davis was indeed a black poet. His works included attacks on
Christianity. One Davis poem referred to Christ irreverently as a “nigger.” Davis was himself an atheist.
However, Davis was better known as a communist propagandist whose work for the Communist Party in Hawaii earned him surveillance by the FBI and placement on its “security index.” Davis was also a pornographer who engaged in bizarre sexual practices, even pedophilia.
This is the man who shaped the mind of our current president, because his own father abandoned him. Explains a lot, doesn’t it?

Lawsuit Filed Against Clintons for Possible Racketeering

 “Somebody has to do it.” These are the words of Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch regarding the possible criminal actions of Bill and Hillary Clinton. Since Congress is afraid to act, it’s up to private citizens to investigate the Clintons and growing suspicions about the way they are using their Foundation for possible criminal acts.
You may recall that when Oliver North was being questioned over Iran-Contra in 1987, the subject of a security system came up. The payment for a single security system (“an illegal gratuity”) that was used to protect him and his family got him in trouble. Here’s part of the testimony:

According to the Washington Examiner, a lawsuit filed by Larry Klayman of Freedom Watch, includes a legal request to have the judge seize the private server which Hillary Clinton used exclusively while she served as Secretary of State.
The Racketeering Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (RICO) case alleges the former first couple used their Clinton Foundation to trade political favors for donations or generous speaking fees for Bill Clinton while Hillary was head of the State Department.
Larry Klayman said the following in the US District Court of Southern Florida:
“Negotiations by email about influencing U.S. foreign policy or U.S. Government actions to benefit donors to … The Clinton Foundation or sponsors of speaking engagements would not be captured on a U.S. Government email account because her emails would not be with a U.S. Government official.”
“Hillary Clinton deleted 32,000 email messages from her email server that included her communications arranging, negotiating, and agreeing upon speaking engagements by Bill Clinton in return for large speaking fees and donations to The Clinton Foundation.”
Klayman also asked the judge to order a “neutral forensic expert … to take custody and control of the private email server and reconstruct and preserve the official U.S. Government records relating to the conduct of U.S. foreign policy during Defendant Secretary Clinton’s term as Secretary of State.”
Hillary Clinton handed over 55,000 printed pages of emails to the State Department in November of last year and reportedly erased the remaining records off her private server. Congressman Trey Gowdy (R-SC) of the House Select Benghazi Committee discovered the private server while investigating the events surrounding the 2012 attack on the Libyan compound in which four Americans were killed.
Klayman listed myriad scandals involving missing records that have dogged the Clintons for two decades, including the fact that thousands of emails disappeared during Bill Clinton’s administration after White House officials threatened internal computer experts who blew the whistle on the “suppression.”
In court documents, Klayman said records on the Clintons’ private server are “in imminent danger of being lost” and urged the court to intervene.
Since our Congress has failed to ensure the integrity of the email server, Klayman stated that “somebody has to do it.”
Let’s hope this case has legs and the Clintons don’t squeak by with yet another crime committed against the people of the United States

In the late fourth century, the Western Roman Empire crumbled after a nearly 500-year run as the world’s greatest superpower. Historians have blamed the collapse on hundreds of different factors ranging from military failures and crippling taxation to natural disasters and even climate change. Still others argue that the Roman Empire didn’t really fall in 476 A.D., since its eastern half continued for another thousand years in the form of the Byzantine Empire. While just how—and when—the Empire fell remains a subject of ongoing debate, certain theories have emerged as the most popular explanations for Western Rome’s decline and disintegration. Read on to discover eight reasons why one of history’s most legendary empires finally came crashing down.

1. Invasions by Barbarian tribes
The most straightforward theory for Western Rome’s collapse pins the fall on a string of military losses sustained against outside forces. Rome had tangled with Germanic tribes for centuries, but by the 300s “barbarian” groups like the Goths had encroached beyond the Empire’s borders. The Romans weathered a Germanic uprising in the late fourth century, but in 410 the Visigoth King Alaric successfully sacked the city of Rome. The Empire spent the next several decades under constant threat before “the Eternal City” was raided again in 455, this time by the Vandals. Finally, in 476, the Germanic leader Odoacer staged a revolt and deposed the Emperor Romulus Augustulus. From then on, no Roman emperor would ever again rule from a post in Italy, leading many to cite 476 as the year the Western Empire suffered its deathblow.

Even as Rome was under attack from outside forces, it was also crumbling from within thanks to a severe financial crisis. Constant wars and overspending had significantly lightened imperial coffers, and oppressive taxation and inflation had widened the gap between rich and poor. In the hope of avoiding the taxman, many members of the wealthy classes had even fled to the countryside and set up independent fiefdoms. At the same time, the empire was rocked by a labor deficit. Rome’s economy depended on slaves to till its fields and work as craftsmen, and its military might had traditionally provided a fresh influx of conquered peoples to put to work. But when expansion ground to a halt in the second century, Rome’s supply of slaves and other war treasures began to dry up. A further blow came in the fifth century, when the Vandals claimed North Africa and began disrupting the empire’s trade by prowling the Mediterranean as pirates. With its economy faltering and its commercial and agricultural production in decline, the Empire began to lose its grip on Europe.
3. The rise of the Eastern Empire (en estos momentos la China)
The fate of Western Rome was partially sealed in the late third century, when the Emperor Diocletian divided the Empire into two halves—the Western Empire seated in the city of Milan, and the Eastern Empire in Byzantium, later known as Constantinople. The division made the empire more easily governable in the short term, but over time the two halves drifted apart. East and West failed to adequately work together to combat outside threats, and the two often squabbled over resources and military aid. As the gulf widened, the largely Greek-speaking Eastern Empire grew in wealth while the Latin-speaking West descended into economic crisis. Most importantly, the strength of the Eastern Empire served to divert Barbarian invasions to the West. Emperors like Constantine ensured that the city of Constantinople was fortified and well guarded, but Italy and the city of Rome—which only had symbolic value for many in the East—were left vulnerable. The Western political structure would finally disintegrate in the fifth century, but the Eastern Empire endured in some form for another thousand years before being overwhelmed by the Ottoman Empire in the 1400s.

At its height, the Roman Empire stretched from the Atlantic Ocean all the way to the Euphrates River in the Middle East, but its grandeur may have also been its downfall. With such a vast territory to govern, the empire faced an administrative and logistical nightmare. Even with their excellent road systems, the Romans were unable to communicate quickly or effectively enough to manage their holdings. Rome struggled to marshal enough troops and resources to defend its frontiers from local rebellions and outside attacks, and by the second century the Emperor Hadrian was forced to build his famous wall in Britain just to keep the enemy at bay. As more and more funds were funneled into the military upkeep of the empire, technological advancement slowed and Rome’s civil infrastructure fell into disrepair.

If Rome’s sheer size made it difficult to govern, ineffective and inconsistent leadership only served to magnify the problem. Being the Roman emperor had always been a particularly dangerous job, but during the tumultuous second and third centuries it nearly became a death sentence. Civil war thrust the empire into chaos, and more than 20 men took the throne in the span of only 75 years, usually after the murder of their predecessor. The Praetorian Guard—the emperor’s personal bodyguards—assassinated and installed new sovereigns at will, and once even auctioned the spot off to the highest bidder. The political rot also extended to the Roman Senate, which failed to temper the excesses of the emperors due to its own widespread corruption and incompetence. As the situation worsened, civic pride waned and many Roman citizens lost trust in their leadership.
6. The arrival of the Huns and the migration of the Barbarian tribes (en estos momentos hay mas inmigrantes que nunca y muchos odian a este pais)
The Barbarian attacks on Rome partially stemmed from a mass migration caused by the Huns’ invasion of Europe in the late fourth century. When these Eurasian warriors rampaged through northern Europe, they drove many Germanic tribes to the borders of the Roman Empire. The Romans grudgingly allowed members of the Visigoth tribe to cross south of the Danube and into the safety of Roman territory, but they treated them with extreme cruelty. According to the historian Ammianus Marcellinus, Roman officials even forced the starving Goths to trade their children into slavery in exchange for dog meat. In brutalizing the Goths, the Romans created a dangerous enemy within their own borders. When the oppression became too much to bear, the Goths rose up in revolt and eventually routed a Roman army and killed the Eastern Emperor Valens during the Battle of Adrianople in A.D. 378. The shocked Romans negotiated a flimsy peace with the barbarians, but the truce unraveled in 410, when the Goth King Alaric moved west and sacked Rome. With the Western Empire weakened, Germanic tribes like the Vandals and the Saxons were able to surge across its borders and occupy Britain, Spain and North Africa.

The decline of Rome dovetailed with the spread of Christianity, and some have argued that the rise of a new faith helped contribute to the empire’s fall. The Edict of Milan legalized Christianity in 313, and it later became the state religion in 380. These decrees ended centuries of persecution, but they may have also eroded the traditional Roman values system. Christianity displaced the polytheistic Roman religion, which viewed the emperor as having a divine status, and also shifted focus away from the glory of the state and onto a sole deity. Meanwhile, popes and other church eladers took an increased role in political affairs, further complicating governance. The 18th-century historian Edward Gibbon was the most famous proponent of this theory, but his take has since been widely criticized. While the spread of Christianity may have played a small role in curbing Roman civic virtue, most scholars now argue that its influence paled in comparison to military, economic and administrative factors.

For most of its history, Rome’s military was the envy of the ancient world. But during the decline, the makeup of the once mighty legions began to change. Unable to recruit enough soldiers from the Roman citizenry, emperors like Diocletian and Constantine began hiring foreign mercenaries to prop up their armies. The ranks of the legions eventually swelled with Germanic Goths and other barbarians, so much so that Romans began using the Latin word “barbarus” in place of “soldier.” While these Germanic soldiers of fortune proved to be fierce warriors, they also had little or no loyalty to the empire, and their power-hungry officers often turned against their Roman employers. In fact, many of the barbarians who sacked the city of Rome and brought down the Western Empire had earned their military stripes while serving in the Roman legions.

According to The Daily Beast, the Clinton Foundation received between $250,000 and $500,000 from the Qatar 2022 Supreme Committee in 2014 and between $1 million and $5 million from the State of Qatar in prior unknown years.

The donations were made to “prove the effectiveness and affordability of using both solar-powered hybrid cooling applications and converted football training facilities as housing for high-efficiency greenhouse food production in humid climates,” according to the philanthropic organization’s website. “If successful,” the site goes on to say, “the application of this innovative technology will allow for year-round food production and will enable farmers to increase the quality, consistency, and productivity of crops while decreasing the amount of water and energy consumed by agricultural production.”

When the tournaments were awarded to Russia and Qatar respectively, he reportedly broke a mirror in frustration. The Qatari donations might have been a peace offering.
Since the infrastructure for the World Cup started taking shape in Qatar four years ago, as many as 1,200 migrant workers may have died, according to the International Trade Union Confederation (ITUC), and as many as 4,000 more will likely die before the first kickoff seven years from now.

Fourteen officials with FIFA are under investigation by the U.S. Department of Justice for accepting bribes over a 24-year period, BBC News noted. A separate Swiss investigation is being conducted, specificially taking a look at the bids for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups.
FIFA’s headquarters in Zurich were raided Wednesday and seven officials were taken into custody. FIFA’s president, Sepp Blatter, was not among the charged.
The election for FIFA’s president is set to be held this weekend. Blatter is seeking a fifth term.

NEW YORK (AP) -- Chobani founder and CEO Hamdi Ulukaya says he will join some of the world's richest individuals in pledging to give away at least half his wealth, which has been estimated at $1.41 billion.
The Turkish-born yogurt entrepreneur is making the commitment as part of The Giving Pledge, which was created by Berkshire Hathaway CEO Warren Buffett and Microsoft founder Bill Gates. The effort asks billionaires to commit to giving away more than half their wealth during their lifetimes or in their wills.
The group notes the pledge is a "moral commitment," rather than a legal contract. It says that by asking people to make public pledges, it hopes to generate conversations about philanthropy.

In an interview with The Associated Press, Ulukaya said he plans to devote his philanthropic efforts to helping refugees around the world. He said he has set up a website for a foundation, called Tent, which he plans to fund over time. He said Tent's activities will include raising awareness about refugee situations and helping provide relief on issues like education and health care.

The 43-year-old Ulukaya had already pledged last year to donate $2 million for refugees fleeing violence in his homeland, with initial donations being made to the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. At the time, he said he wanted to bring attention to people caught up in fighting along the Iraq and Syria borders with Turkey, a region targeted by the militant Islamic State group.
In a draft of a letter declaring his pledge, Ulukaya said he was inspired by watching his mother "give to those who needed it" and that he had always planned to donate most of what he had.

Ulukaya said he became interested in The Giving Pledge because he liked the idea of being able to tap into the knowledge of other philanthropists. Among those the group says have taken similar pledges are entrepreneur Elon Musk, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg and oil tycoon T. Boone Pickens.
A representative for The Giving Pledge did not respond when asked when this year's pledges would be announced.

Initially, Ulukaya said Tent will be housed in Chobani's office in New York City. He dismissed the notion that the effort would take away from his time at Chobani, noting that his charitable activities so far haven't interfered with his responsibilities.

"It's enough time to do all of it. I don't believe that you need to leave your business to do social good," he said.

Since its founding in 2007, Chobani has helped drive the surging popularity of Greek yogurt, which is thicker and has more protein than traditional supermarket yogurt. More recently, however, it has been facing tougher competition from bigger companies like General Mills, which has been more aggressively pushing Greek varieties of its Yoplait yogurt.

Last year, Chobani said it secured $750 million in financing from private equity firm TPG Capital when it was facing a cash crunch. The Wall Street Journal reported last week that Chobani is expected to name a new CEO in coming months as part of the deal with TPG. But Ulukaya said he doesn't plan to step away from his role anytime soon.

"I am the CEO, and I will decide if I'm not going to be the CEO one day. But that's totally my decision," he said.

Forbes has estimated Ulukaya's wealth at $1.4 billion this year. Ulukaya is divorced with no children.

In the 14 years since its passage, the PATRIOT act has become a blank check for the government to do anything it wants by draping itself in the flag of "national security."
