Exclusive: Mike Huckabee Tells Us His
Favorite Chuck Norris Joke
Also says how much money it would take
to get him to step into the ring with Norris.
During a
stop in Phoenix, Ariz., on his campaign trial, 2016 presidential contender Mike
Huckabee sat down with Western Journalism’s Norvell Rose to discuss a variety
of topics, including his friend and supporter Chuck Norris.
When
asked what his best Chuck Norris joke is, Huckabee jovially answered, “Chuck
Norris doesn’t ask you to vote for Mike Huckabee; he just tells you that you’re
going to. And you will.” Watch: Video Shows NYPD

“What
isn’t a joke,” he continued, “is the love this man has for America. I’ve never
seen anybody who is so real, so authentic… This man loves God, he loves his
country, he loves those who serve us in uniform…he’s just one of the most
remarkable, humble human beings ever.”
Huckabee
did quip, though, that while he will tell jokes that include Norris, he would
never tell a joke about him, because “He’d take my head off!”
Keeping
things light, Rose mentioned the charity
fight former
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney announced he will have with
Evander Holyfield Friday, asking Huckabee whether he would step into the ring
with Norris.
House Won’t Allow ‘Dreamers’ To Enlist In
Military
The lower chamber voted 221 to 202.
The House rejected a
provision Thursday that would have allowed illegal immigrant “Dreamers” to
enlist in the military.
The lower chamber
voted 221 to 202 to not add the Dreamer language in a comprehensive defense
spending bill. All of the ‘no’ votes came from the GOP, though 20
Republicans crossed the aisle to vote for the measure, The Washington
Times reported.

“It makes no sense to
me that, at the same time the Army is downsizing and issuing pink slips to
American soldiers serving in Afghanistan, there are Congressmen who seek to
help illegal aliens deprive American citizens and lawful immigrants of military
service opportunities,” Rep. Mo Brooks, R-Ala., said in astatement after the vote.
Brooks led the charge against against the language:
I’m pleased the House chose to stand up for American
citizens and protect the Constitutional duty of Congress to set immigration
law.
Today’s vote was the fourth rejection of the
President’s unconstitutional DACA program, with Republicans overwhelmingly
standing up for the will of the American people and the citizens and lawful
immigrants who want to serve our country.

While he acknowledged the measure had little chance of clearing the

DREAMers are talented and patriotic; they are
Americans in every way except on paper, and our country would benefit from
having them as part of our Armed Forces.
The strength of our military isn’t just measured by
the size of our arsenal or by the sophistication of our weapons but by the
quality of our people. I would have been proud to serve beside these young men
and women.
“This is yet another
example of an anti-immigrant attitude on the part of House Republicans,” said
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi,” D-Calif. The $612 billion defense
bill was approved 269 to 151 Friday. The Hillbreaks down the
details of the bill:
The bill keeps ceilings on defense spending in place
under the 2011 budget deal that introduced sequestration spending limits, but
would increase funding to the Pentagon’s war fund.
The legislation authorizes roughly $523 billion in
base Defense Department spending. Another $90 billion is included in the war
fund, formally known as the Overseas Contingency Operations fund.
It includes $38 billion more for the war fund than had
been requested by the White House. The extra spending is not offset by spending
cuts or tax hikes.
The White House also opposes language in the bill
meant to prevent the closing of Guantanamo Bay.

THE
GIRL WHO DESTROYED ACORN: Says She Has Scandalous Videos Of TX LAWMAKERS
Summer is usually a relaxing time for family
vacations, a little rest and relaxation, a time to recharge one’s “batteries”,
hang out with the kiddos and to get in some light summer beach reading.
Ahhh … summer. Pass me an ice cold Corona, por favor.
This summer, however, could be the beginning of the
end for several Texas politicos who’ve been doing creepy crap when they were
supposed to have been representing the Texans who trusted them and put their
haggard backsides into office.
For those of you who don’t follow closely Texas
politics, a forthcoming scandal is brewing based upon claims of The American
Phoenix Foundation, headed up by ACORN nut-crusher Hannah Giles and her husband
Joseph Basel.
Giles and Basel claim to have amassed over 800 hours
of damning undercover videos, of both Republican and Democratic Texas lawmakers
and lobbyists, doing stuff that wouldn’t make their grandmas very happy.
The undercover op, according to Giles and Basel, is to
expose rank hypocrisy, systemic corruption with the added cherry on the top of
showcasing inappropriate relationships between Texas lawmakers and lobbyists.
Boom.
In other words, it’s House Of Cards stuff, in real time, and on steroids — and the legislatures and
lobbyists are already starting to sweat what is forthcoming.
One thing I’d like to underscore from the
aforementioned is that it’s not just Democrats getting outed in their videos,
it’s Republicans also.
Matter of fact, the impetus behind this undercover
sting at the Texas State Capitol came via Hannah’s seeing some big time
conservative dipsticks (whom we all know and regularly watch on Fox News
bashing Obama) at parties in DC, after her ACORN fame, hanging out and making
out with chicks other than their wives while they “championed the cause of
conservative/family values.”
Yes, my friends, this will be a bi-partisan ass
whuppin’.
Grab some popcorn and a Coke because this is going be
a good house cleaning.
It’ll be especially delicious for those of us who’re
sick of business as usual while our nation is being screwed by folks who have
sworn to represent our interests, and not their desire to “get laid and get
paid”.
Which brings me to this point about this forthcoming expose
for those of us of a conservative persuasion: Maybe, the reason we continue to
scratch our head regarding why the Right so often sides with the Left on policy
issues is maybe… just maybe… our rep’s are blackmailable based upon all the
booty they’re tappin’ other than their wives? Who knows? We shall see..
Finally, my advice to the Texas Corrupt-O-Crats who’ve
been ridin’ dirty on the Texas taxpayers’ dime is: You’d better get your house
in order because it’s about to collapse … as in big time.
Fernando: US Intelligence Officer: “Every Single
Terrorist Attack In US Was A False Flag Attack”
Apart
from documents that have outlined supposed terrorist threats, like Al-Qaeda,
and their connection to US intelligence agencies, like the CIA, there are a
number of whistleblowers that have come out adding more fuel to the fire.
Because not many are even aware of these documents, letting people know about a
truth that can be hard for people to accept, let alone ponder the possibility
is very important. It’s just one aspect of the veil that’s been blinding the
masses for quite some time now.
The
latest whistleblower is David Steele, a 20-year Marine Corps intelligence
officer, and the second-highest-ranking civilian in the U.S. Marine Corps
Intelligence. He is a former CIA clandestine services case officer, and this is
what he had to say:
“Most terrorists are false flag terrorists, or are
created by our own security services. In the United States, every single
terrorist incident we have had has been a false flag, or has been an informant
pushed on by the FBI. In fact, we now have citizens taking out restraining
orders against FBI informants that are trying to incite terrorism. We’ve become
a lunatic asylum.”
What Is A “False Flag Attack?”
A great
example of a false flag attack is 9/11, something that many people believe to
be a creation of US intelligence agencies, or some entity above the government
(one that controls what Eisenhower called “the military industrial complex”).
The idea is that these so called terrorist attacks are created by this group,
in order to justify the infiltration of other countries, and to justify a
heightened state of “national security.” As a result, in the eyes of the
citizenry, war and mass murder are justified, when the intentions behind these
actions are something the citizenry has no idea about. This is why we see a
false sense of patriotism programmed into many people, especially in the United
States. Men and women join this massive military machine with good hearts,
thinking that they are serving their country and fighting terrorism, when they
are doing the complete opposite. They are only participating in a fabricated
war based on lies and misinformation.
“The truth is, there is no Islamic army or terrorist
group called Al-Qaeda, and any informed intelligence officer knows this. But,
there is a propaganda campaign to make the public believe in the presence of an
intensified entity representing the ‘devil’ only in order to drive TV watchers
to accept a unified international leadership for a war against terrorism. The
country behind this propaganda is the United States.” – Former
British Foreign Secretary, Robin Cook
Today, we
might be seeing the same thing with ISIS. Although there are no verified
documents like there are when it comes to Al-Qaeda, given what that information
shows us, combined with Wikileaks documents and statements from insiders, we
could be looking at the same thing.
Not long
ago, FBI whistleblower stated that:
“The US is reviving terror scare with ISIS to promote
the terror war industry.”

Journal: Springtime for Dictators
Posted: 13 May 2015 05:57 PM PDT
By Daniel Henninger in The Wall Street Journal:
Springtime for Dictators Not everyone gets an hour-long audience with the pope, as Raúl Castro did this past Sunday at the Vatican. But Raúl Castro isn’t everyone. Raúl is the president of Cuba and the heir to his brother’s half-century-old Communist dictatorship. And right now, Raúl is hot. Raúl Castro is taking meetings with everyone from President Barack Obama in Panama last month to Pope Francis in Rome last weekend. Then he returned to Havana for a meeting with President François Hollande of France, who flew in to see him and Fidel. How good can it get? “President” Castro is in some sense an honorific title. When Raúl ran for president of Cuba for the first time in 2008, he was the only candidate. And while the Communist Party isn’t the only party in Cuba, the others can’t campaign, and political speech is forbidden. One might argue that the Castros’ Cuba is the model for how Vladimir Putin has reset the Russian political system. A beaming, star-struck Mr. Hollande on Monday received a one-hour audience (there is no other word) with the 88-year-old Fidel. The French president said, “I had before me a man who made history.” “Bienvenido!” said Pope Francis to Raúl Sunday when they met at the Vatican. “Welcome!” The Vatican press office didn’t release details of the meeting, other than to describe it as “very friendly.” Photographs of the meeting between the president of Cuba’s inhabitants and the leader of the world’s Catholics suggest they hit it off, with both men aglow in smiles. In fact, Raúl seems to have thought he’d died and gone to heaven. Baptized into Marxism while in college, he announced he might rejoin the Catholic Church. But let Raúl explain his sudden reconversion: “I read all the speeches of the pope, his commentaries, and if the pope continues this way, I will go back to praying and go back to the church. I’m not joking.” Who could doubt it? When he says, “if the pope continues this way,” we assume the Cuban president is referring to Francis’ criticisms of capitalism, as when he wrote in 2013: “Some people continue to defend trickle-down theories which assume that economic growth, encouraged by a free market, will inevitably succeed in bringing about greater justice and inclusiveness in the world.” Francis described this theory as an “opinion, which has never been confirmed by the facts.” Raúl was so excited after his meeting with the pope Sunday that he said when Francis visits Cuba this September, “I promise to go to all his Masses.” Let us return to earth. For starters, we posit a hypothetical: Let us assume that instead of being the pope, Francis was just a guy in Cuba named Jorge Mario Bergoglio, living in Havana. If this guy no one had heard of summoned the courage to say something in public as harsh about Castro’s communist system as the pope did about capitalism, Raúl would do any number of things to Jorge Mario Bergoglio. Raúl would have the Cuban police grab him off the street and drive him far outside Havana, where they would beat him up and abandon him. Or they would dump Jorge in prison, where he’d get beaten some more and better not get sick because medical treatment for political dissidents is hard to come by. Or a mob might show up to scream obscenities at him anytime he showed up in public. Shaming, harassment and humiliation is what Raúl and Fidel have done to, among many others, theLadies in White, who are wives of jailed dissidents, and who march in Havana to—of all things—Sunday Mass. What they find on the way to Mass is not fellow communicant Raúl but his mobs or police, which routinely attack them. We know this because Raúl’s brutal modus operandi for critics of Cuba’s system is described at length in reports by the U.S. State Department and Human Rights Watch. But the Castros’ celebrity status with international elites transcends anything they do, and so Cuba is a member of the U.N. Commission on Human Rights. Sophisticated opinion holds that Barack Obama’s December “opening” to Cuba means the market and tourists will change the place—for example, Raúl’s release of 53 political prisoners. According to Hablemos Press, which operates inside Cuba, some of those 53 have been rearrested. Other post-“opening” dissidents have been beaten. How come? They tried to meet with an opposition group,Movement for a New Republic. Last weekend German Chancellor Angela Merkel went to Russia to honor the Russian soldiers who died in World War II. But while in Moscow, Ms. Merkel, who grew up in East Germany, said directly to Vladimir Putin: “I would like also to recall that the end of World War II did not bring democracy and freedom for all of Europe.” Would that one of these men of the world had the guts to say that to Fidel’s face in Havana. |

The Left's war
on Fox women
Published May 15, 2015
One of the worst
aspects of the illiberal left is its heinous sexism against women with whom
they disagree.
Megyn Kelly, a former
lawyer, is a serious and highly successful television journalist. When her
contract was up for renewal in 2013, the New York Timesreported that both CNN
and NBC wanted to hire her away from Fox, a strange thing to desire if Fox News
is not a “legitimate” news outlet.
But to the illiberal
left, Megyn Kelly is not a reporter or a commentator or a woman to be respected
for her achievements. She is a Fox “babe” to be characterized by her looks.
The Huffington Post
linked to a New York Times story about Kelly
adding the headline, “Megyn Kelly, ‘Attractive-Looking Blond’ Anchorwoman,
Leads the Pack at Fox News,” twisting a flattering quote from the story to make
it seem as if the only positive attribute she possessed were her looks.
To the illiberal left, Megyn Kelly is not a reporter
or a commentator or a woman to be respected for her achievements. She is a Fox
“babe” to be characterized by her looks.
Over at the feminist
website Jezebel, where they are all about being “pro-woman,” one writer said
she liked Kelly the way she did “Ursula from the Little Mermaid,” adding that
she “sort of” loved her despite Kelly being “largely a horrible, terrible
person with many horrible, stupid thoughts and opinions.” This was the same
“feminist” site that had previously described the prime-time host and former
corporate litigator as a “Fox Newsbot.”
It is also a website that the illiberal left considers
a “legitimate” news source, as there were no complaints when MSNBC hired former
Salon.com columnist Irin Carmon, who also happened to be a former blogger for
Jezebel, to be a national reporter to cover politics and women’s issues.
The outspoken liberal feminist and supporter of
Democrats has a fellowship at Yale University on Reproductive Justice. (Imagine
if Fox News hired a conservative “pro-life” blogger and gave her the title of
national reporter and had her covering women’s issues.)
The website Capital New York ran a January 2015
profile on Carmon, in which they asked her, “Was it a tough adjustment going
from opinionated blogging with a strong voice to reporting for cable news?”
Carmon explained that, “Well, we get to do some opinionating and strong
voice-ing on the air around here . . . but I’ve always seen myself as a
reporter first. . . .”
At Fox News there is a sharp distinction between
commentators and opinion hosts and reporters. In the media corners of the
illiberal left, not so much.
Carmon explained that, “there’s so much more space now
for reporting with a passionate point of view, which is where I see my own
work, than there was even a few years ago when I was starting out.”
If Carmon is an example of a woman the illiberal left
considers a legitimate journalist, Megyn Kelly is someone the illiberal left
tries to delegitimize through the oldest sexist trick in the book—objectifying
her as a woman. In 2010, the New Republic’s Jonathan Chait posted a screenshot
of Kelly seemingly in mid-sentence under the headline, “The Quintessential Fox
News Image.” He wrote: “Everything you need to know about Fox News is captured
in this screenshot: the American flags, the fearmongering image in the
upper-right corner, the blond anchor with a facial expression that somehow
combines sneering with absolute terror.” Kelly wasn’t sneering or looking
frightened, though she is blonde and is on Fox which to the illiberal left
means she’s a nameless “blond anchor” and candidate for being objectified and
dehumanized.
Liberal journalist Lee Siegel wrote for Men’s Journal explaining to liberal men what they were
missing about “the blondes of Fox News.” He explained how fun it was to watch
them, as “Fox women are studies in passive-aggressive revolt against their
ideological masters.” These “masters” are white men who the “Fox women”
secretly believe are “fools.” His article was headlined, “The Right, Hot, and
Bothered Blondes of Fox News: One man’s guilty obsession with Megyn Kelly and
the blondes of Fox News.” He explained his liberal brethren needed to
appreciate that, “Most blonde anchors on Fox are dyed blondes,” and a woman who
dyes her hair blonde has “on some level, subordinated her will to male desire.”
But there’s more. The Fox News blonde “is also dangerous. She has another
identity concealed by the one she submissively shares with you. Lurking within
every Fox blonde is a CNN brunette.” He closed with, “Fox blondes hold out the
promise of rational intelligence and sexual gratification—two precious and
tragically incompatible human qualities. Of all the shameless lies Fox tells,
that beautiful illusion may be the most potent.”
VH1.com ran a July feature, “Meet the Blondes of Fox
News” featuring a picture of Megyn Kelly, Dana Perino, and Elisabeth Hasselbeck
along with a photo gallery of a few of Fox’s female journalists. “If you
thought Fox News Channel was just a boys club, think again,” VH1 exclaimed.
(Who ever thought that?) They went on to explain that yes, Fox hires women,
“but they’re not necessarily adding sensibility to Fox News’ reporting. We’re
all for strong women in the newsroom, but we’re not sure if Fox News’ blondes
fit that bill.” In particular, they explained that “Fox News’ blonde
bombshells” such as Megyn Kelly “can’t be taken seriously” and included Greta
Van Susteren, who holds a law degree from Georgetown and whose show “On the
Record” has
been top in its time slot for more than a decade, and Laura Ingraham, who holds
a law degree from the University of Virginia, in their roundup of dumb blondes.
Allure, a women’s beauty magazine, ran a poem by one
of their editors, David DeNicolo, under the headline “Fox News Anchors: Hot or
Not? With its bevy of babes, the network should be called the Foxy News
Channel.” DeNicolo rhymed about the legs and hair and “gleaming smiles” of Fox
News anchors and then, “Sure, Rachel Maddow has the smarts, But can she work
her giggly parts?”
Jonathan Chait at New York magazine wrote: “If you have never seen
Fox News before, here is a four-minute clip that captures the essence of the
network so perfectly that you need never watch anything on it again. It’s all
here. At the center, you have an old conservative white guy who is enraged
about a fact that exists only in his addled brain. At his side, there’s a
blonde sidekick who nods along with him but doesn’t get in the way.” The
alleged cipher and “blonde sidekick” was Monica Crowley, a conservative radio
host who holds a Ph.D. from Columbia University in International Affairs.
So pervasive is the smear that all the female commentators
and anchors on Fox are dumb blonde chicks that it was actually fact-checked by
Politi-Fact. That’s not a joke. They analyzed the female hosts’ and anchors’
hair color and found the assertion “mostly false,” because Fox had its fair
share of black-haired and brunette women.
What might have been more elevating was recognizing
the achievements of Fox News’ female anchors, reporters, and commentators.
Mentioning for instance that Gretchen Carlson is an Emmy Award–winning reporter
who used to work for CBS, or that Kimberly Guilfoyle of “The Five” is a former assistant district attorney,
or that Jeanine Pirro is a former judge and district attorney. But
acknowledging the talent and achievements of the people who work at Fox News
contradicts the illiberal left’s propaganda that Fox News is somehow
illegitimate. It is only “illegitimate” because the illiberal left wants to
silence dissent and seeks to do so not through besting its opponents in
argument and debate but through the lowest form of scurrilous sexism or simple
refusal to tolerate other points of view.
