Amenper: Los
Amenper: A Play of
Fools
There is no contest between a successful businessperson and a
socialist economist.
The idiotic centralized governments make socialists
economic fools doomed to failure..
But when it comes to politics, the foolishness is in the
capitalist shoe.
Because of a hard to understand eagerness of doing business with
Cuba, we have to listen to businessmen in Washington telling us that the
people who had wanted the Soviets to drop the bomb on this country
during the 1962 missile crisis—no longer presents a threat to the
U.S-- No matter if the Castro’s remain as paranoid, power-hungry and
pathological as ever. They want to forget that they may be economic
fools, but they run a good business making the island available to criminal
governments, like Iran and North Korea.
But…no matter if the enemy of the U.S. and buddy of Obama,
Vladimir Putin, the Russia's president who is trying to rebuild the Soviet
empire traveled to Cuba, where he signed agreements to lease eight Russian jets
worth $650 million to Havana and proposed some $30 billion in debt forgiveness
and promised more military aid.
No matter what, we have to end the “failed” embargo and engage
in doing business with Cuba.
"Fools" is a comic fable by Neil Simon, set in
the small village of Kulyenchikov, Ukraine (Then Russian Territory), during the
late 19th century.
When Simon wrote the fable, he could never imagined that the
title and the country of the play would be so notoriously familiar years
later in Washington's politics..
Fool is, fool does, and Washington is today a play of fools.
Below you can read today’s column by Maria Anastasia O’Grady.
Good reading for us, but fools in Washington won’t read it,
because it is not agreeable with their foolishness.
Putin Restores a Cuban Beachhead
The Kremlin and the Castros are chummy again,
and Moscow is offering military aid. By MARY ANASTASIA O'GRADY
Cuban spy Ana Belen Montes was the highest-ranking Pentagon
intelligence analyst ever to be busted for working for the Castros. What's also
notable, in light of Vladimir Putin's visit to Havana earlier this
month, is that she was nabbed in 2001, long after the Cold War ended.
Besides leaking classified material and blowing the cover of
covert U.S. intelligence agents, Montes seems to have been charged by her
handlers with convincing top brass in Washington that Fidel Castro —who had
wanted the Soviets to drop the bomb on this country during the 1962 missile
crisis—no longer presents a threat to the U.S. Montes, who rose to become the
U.S. military's resident intelligence expert on Cuba, partly accomplished that
mission. The Pentagon's 1998 Cuba threat assessment played down its military
and intelligence capabilities.
The best Cuba watchers were less sanguine..
Mr. Putin's Cuba trip reinforces the point. The old Cold War
villains are up to no good one more time.
Russia's president is trying to rebuild the Soviet empire. Eastern
Europe won't cooperate and in Asia the best he will ever be is China's junior
partner. But in Latin America Mr. Putin's KGB résumé and willingness to stick
his thumb in the eye of the U.S. gives him traction. Colonizing Cuba again
is an obvious move.

Cuban President Raúl Castro greets Vladimir Putin in Havana,
July 11. Kommersant via Getty Images
After the Soviet Union fell in 1991 and the gravy train to Havana
was cut off, Fidel was furious with the Kremlin. It hasn't been easy to get
back in his good graces. In 2008 the Moscow news outlet Kommersant reported
that Putin friend and Deputy Prime Minister Igor Sechin got the cold shoulder
when he visited the island to work on "restoring full-scale
cooperation." Kommersant reported that the Castros were
"displeased" that Russia had been talking up a military deployment to
Cuba without Havana's approval.
But it seems that the world's most notorious moochers are willing
to forgive—for the right price. With sugar-daddy Venezuela running into
economic problems in recent years and Mr. Putin itching for a place in the
Caribbean sun, Cuba has decided to deal.
In February 2013 Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev traveled to Cuba, where
he signed agreements to lease eight Russian jets worth $650 million to Havana
and proposed some $30 billion in debt forgiveness. Two months later, Russian
Chief of Staff Gen. Valery Gerasimov visited key military and intelligence
sites on the island. In August a spokesman for the Black Sea Fleet announced
that the Russian guided-missile warship Moskva, the fleet's flagship, had set
off for Cuba and other ports in Central and South America.
Fast forward to February of this year. Russian Defense Minister
Sergei Shoigu announced that Russia had engaged in talks to establish military
bases in Venezuela, Nicaragua and Cuba. The next day a Russian
intelligence-gathering ship docked in Havana.
In May, Russia's Security Council and Cuba's Commission for National
Security and Defense agreed in Moscow to form a joint working group. "The
situation in the world is changing fast and it is dynamic. That's why we need
the ability to react promptly," Nikolai Patrushev, secretary of the
Russian Security Council, told the press. Cuban Col. Alejandro Castro Espin,
son of Raúl Castro, led the Cuban delegation. In June Russia signed a space
cooperation agreement with Cuba to allow it to use the island to base its
Glonass (Russia's alternative to GPS) navigation stations.
When he called in Havana this month Mr. Putin flaunted his
intentions to restore a Russian beachhead in Cuba. The shootdown of the
Malaysian Airlines flight on the same day that he ended his Latin American tour
raised the visibility of a trip that was made for both psychological and
strategic reasons. Mr. Putin wants to assure the Free World that he can be a
menace in the U.S. backyard—and he wants a local foothold to make the threat
real.
Mr. Putin officially wrote off $32 billion of bad Cuban debt on his
trip, leaving just $3.2 billion due over the next 10 years. Russia is looking
for oil in Cuban waters, and Mr. Putin signed new agreements in energy,
industry and trade with Castro. Days after the visit he denied rumors that the
Kremlin intends to reopen its old electronic-eavesdropping facility on the
island.
That's cold comfort, even if you believe him. Satellite technology
has made land-based listening posts obsolete in many ways. Far more troubling
is the emergence of Mr. Putin as a Latin American presence. Tyrants all over
the region, starting with the Castros, admire his ruthlessness and skill in
consolidating economic and political power. They want to emulate him. It's a
role model the region could do without.

This Small Town Just Took A Big Stand Against Obama
Upon announcing his
intention to hobnob with supporters in Medina, Wash...
Barack Obama recently hit a roadblock in his ongoing campaign to
attend fundraisers across the nation. Upon announcing his intention to hobnob with supporters in
Medina, Wash. earlier this week, city leaders explained that they will not
force local taxpayers to pay for the associated expenses of his visit.
“We love welcoming people to what we THINK is
one of the most attractive communities in Puget Sound,” said City Manager Mike
Sauerwein.
While visitors might be welcome, however, he insisted that it
should be at their own expense.
“We just don’t feel that we should be passing the cost of the
events to our citizens,” he said.
Saurwien explained that, with previous presidential visits,
taxpayers have had to pony up tens of thousands of dollars to pay for added
police coverage and other incidental expenses. He urged the city council to
pass that expense on to Obama’s host, former Costco CEO Jim Sinegal, for this
event.
Every member of Medina’s small police force will be assigned to
working the fundraiser, aided by state and county law enforcement officers.
While he could not estimate what the total cost would be prior to the event,
Saurwein did know who would be receiving the invoice.
“We just don’t THINK that’s
a cost that should be passed on to taxpayers,” he said, “so we are going to be
billing the host of the event for that cost.”
As Western Journalism reported, Sinegal has
been a longtime Obama supporter going back to his tenure as Costco CEO, having
donated a total of $200,000 to Obama’s campaign and an affiliated political
action committee ahead of the 2012 presidential election.
Sinegal was even invited to speak at the 2012 Democratic National
Convention.
The company came under fire earlier this month, in part because of
its close ties to Sinegal and, by extension, the Obama administration.
When conservative author Dinesh D’Souza’s recent book, “America”,
was unceremoniously stripped from Costco shelves just as his corresponding
documentary opened in theaters across America, many concluded that the move
could have stemmed from the retailer’s inherent disdain for his anti-Obama
viewpoint

seguridad personal pueda implementarse.

Obama’s Biggest Nightmare Just Become Reality?
This movement could end
up being bigger than the Tea Party.
PAGES: 1 2
Under Obama’s Dream Act, he declared that he wouldn’t deport
underage illegal immigrants already living in the United States.
Of course, the illegal immigrants in the United States were elated
by the news. Many of them phoned home requesting for friends and FAMILY to
join them.
Well, hundreds of thousands answered the call and are now swarming
across the border. And the surge has completely overwhelmed America’s child
welfare and foster care system.
In response, Obama – believing he would face less opposition by
shipping these immigrants to big cities – turned nearly the entire country into
pseudo border states.
So what was once a problem in Arizona and Texas is now also a
problem in Illinois, California, and New York.
INDEED,
Obama’s “dream” has quickly become a nightmare. And his strongest supporters
are now turning their backs on him.
Lies, Lies, Lies
The political left has claimed that these children are leaving
Central America because of violence.
Don’t believe it…
A recent government intelligence assessment compiled via
interviews with detained illegals concludes that 95% “cited the primary reason
for migrating to the United States was the perception of U.S. IMMIGRATION LAWS granting
free passes or ‘permisos’ to UAC (unaccompanied children).”
By comparison, the violence affecting black children in America’s
inner cities is far worse than anything being faced by these children from
Central America.
On such merits, black leaders across the country are
actually denouncing Obama as a result of the ongoing
immigration crisis. They believe that if Obama can find money to spend on the
child immigration crisis, he should also be able to find more room in the
budget for helping at-risk children who are here legally.
Speaking from Chicago, Reverend Jesse Jackson said, “If we can
find $4 billion for those children – and we should – we can find $2 billion for
Chicago. There are more children involved, and more have been killed, and more
have been shot.”
Just over the Fourth of July weekend, nine people were killed –
and 60 injured – in the ongoing eruption of violence in Chicago.
And it’s not just the BLACK COMMUNITY that’s
feeling shunned. A coalition of homeless activists in Los Angeles are also
upset – feeling neglected as city officials rush to find housing for illegal
immigrants.
Before we start taking in “refugees” from other countries, maybe
we should start focusing on the refugees in our own backyard.
Free Immigration and a Welfare State?
Many on the left CONTINUE to
quote the words inscribed on the Statue of Liberty, “Give me your tired, your
poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free…”
The problem with open borders today is that the system has
dramatically changed.
In 1886, when the Statue of Liberty was gifted to the United
States, we had no welfare system. Immigrants knew they had to work to make it
in America, and they certainly did!
Today, we have a highly developed welfare system that gives these
children money we cannot afford.
As America’s brilliant economist, Milton Friedman, once
postulated: “It’s just obvious you can’t have free immigration and a welfare
state.” The immigrants coming today are an immediate cash drain on an
already-overtaxed welfare system – shoving American children out of the way to
make more room for them.

M. Aleman: Scary Obituary In 1887 Alexander Tyler, a
Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh, had this to say
about the fall of the Athenian Republic some 2,000 years prior: "A
democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent
form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time
that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the
public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the
candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the
result that every democracy will finally collapse over loose fiscal policy,

"In aggregate, the map of the territory Romney won was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country. Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low Income tenements and living off various forms of government Welfare..."
Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the "complacency and Apathy" phase of Professor Tyler's definition of Democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's population already having reached the "governmental dependency" phase..

Obama Aide Just Admitted Obama Really Could Be Impeached
...senior Obama adviser
Dan Pfeiffer explained...
Following a pair of polls showing that a significant number of
Americans support Barack Obama’s impeachment and removal from office, a
high-ranking White House source expressed concern that such an effort will pick
up steam. In a statement to reporters Friday, senior Obama adviser Dan Pfeiffer
explained that he no longer looks at impeachment as a GOP pipe dream.
“I saw a poll today that had a huge portion of the
Republican Party base saying they supported impeaching the president,” he
asserted.
While Pfeiffer acknowledged that
many in D.C. would “laugh that off,” he took a much more realistic view of the
fledgling effort among GOP leaders.
“I would not discount that possibility,” he said.
He went on to explain that House Speaker John Boehner’s plan to
sue Obama for his excessive use of executive power will likely keep the issue
at the forefront of many Americans’ minds.
“Speaker Boehner,” Pfeiffer said, “by going down the path of this
lawsuit, has opened the door to Republicans possibly considering impeachment at
some point in the future.”
He concluded that Obama’s
own policy initiatives could also make the possibility of impeachment more
appealing to Republican lawmakers.
“I THINK that
if the president enacted immigration reform, that would certainly up the
likelihood that they would contemplate impeachment,” he reasoned.
In the end, impeachment is a notion that Pfeiffer said the
administration takes “very seriously,” stating that he is against the pursuit
of any such measure.
“But I think it would
be foolish to discount the possibility that Republicans would at least consider
going down that path,” he concluded Read more at http://www.westernjournalism.com/revelation-proves-white-house-worried-impeachement/#Z8sPLIvdEzcgwjQM.99
