AMENPER: ¿¿¿¿Reforma
Migratoria????
ofensivo a mi persona. Yo
botar.

RICARDO SAMITIER: Letter from a senior
gentleman in Mesa, Arizona
Dear Family, Friends,
Neighbors and former Classmates,
I just found myself in the middle of a medical situation that made it very clear that "the affordable care act" is neither affordable, nor do they care.
I just found myself in the middle of a medical situation that made it very clear that "the affordable care act" is neither affordable, nor do they care.
I'll go back about seven
years ago to a fairly radical prostate surgery that I underwent. The Urologist
(a personal friend) who performed the surgery was very concerned that it was
cancer, though I wasn't told this until the lab report revealed it was
benign. Since that procedure, I have experienced numerous urinary tract
infections, UTI's. Since I had never had a "UTI" prior to the
prostate surgery, I assume that it is one of the side effects from surgery, an
assumption since confirmed by my Family Doctor.
The weekend
of March 8-9, I was experiencing all the symptoms of another bout of UTI.
By Monday afternoon the infection had hit with full force. Knowing
that all I needed was an antibiotic, I went to an Urgent Care Center in Mesa,
AZ., to provide a specimen, a requirement for getting the prescription. After
waiting 45 min. to see the Doctor, I started getting very nauseous and light
headed.
I went to the Receptionist
to ask where the bathroom was as I felt that I was going to throw up. I was
told that I would have to wait for the Doctor because I would need to leave a
specimen and they didn't want me in the bathroom without first seeing him.
That was when the lights
went out, my next awareness was that of finding myself on the floor (in the
waiting room) having violent dry heaves, and very confused. At this point, I
tried to stand up but couldn't make it, and they made it very clear they
weren't going to let me get up until the ambulance got there. By the way, when
you're waiting to see the Doctor and you pass out, you get very prompt
attention.
Now, "the rest of the story", and the reason for sending this to so many of you.
Now, "the rest of the story", and the reason for sending this to so many of you.
I was taken to the
nearest hospital, to emergency. Once there, I was transported to an emergency
examination room. Once I had removed my clothes and donned one of those lovely
hospital gowns, I finally got to see a Doctor. I asked "what is going
on" I'm just having a UTI, just get me the proper medication and let me go
home. He told me that my symptoms presented the possibility of sepsis, a
potentially deadly migration of toxins, and that they needed to run several
tests to determine how far the infection had migrated.
For the next 3 hours I was
subjected to several tests, blood draws, EKG's, and demands for specimens. At
about 7:30 the nurse came back to my room to inform me that one of
the tests takes 1- 2 days to complete, I asked if they (the results)could be
emailed, at which point she informed me that I wouldn't need them emailed
because I wasn't going anywhere. I started arguing with her but was told,
"if you don't start behaving, I'll start taking your temperature rectally,
at which point I became a perfect gentleman. I did tell her I wanted to see the
doctor because I had no intention of staying overnight.
Now,
this is what I want each of you to understand, please read these next sentences
carefully.The doctor finally came
in to inform me that he was going to admit me. I said, "are you admitting
me for treatment or for observation?" He told me that I would be admitted
for observation. I said Doctor, correct me if I'm wrong, but if you admit me
for observation my Medicare will not pay anything, this due to the affordable
care act , he said that's right, it won't. I then grabbed for my bag of
clothing and said, then I'm going home. He said you're really too sick to be
going home, but I understand your position, this health program is going to hit
seniors especially hard.
The doctor then left the
room and I started getting dressed, I was just getting ready to put my shoes on
when another doctor (the closer) came into the room, he saw me dressed and
said, "where do you think you are going?" I simply said "I'm
going home, to which he replied, quite vociferously, no you aren't.
I said,
"Doc, you and I both know that under the "affordable care act"
anyone on Medicare who is admitted to a hospital for observation will be
responsible for the bill, Medicare won't pay a cent". At which point
he nodded in affirmation.
I said, "You will
either admit me for a specific treatment or you won't admit me." Realizing
he wasn't going to win this one, he said he would prepare my release papers.
A few minutes later the
discharge nurse came to my room to have me sign the necessary papers, relieving
them from any responsibility. I told her I wasn't trying to be obstinate, but I
wasn't going to be burdened with the full (financial) responsibility for my
hospital stay.
After making sure the
door was closed, she said, "I don't blame you at all, I would do the same
thing." She went on to say, "You wouldn't believe the people
who elect to leave for the same reasons, people who are deathly sick, people
who have to be wheeled out on a gurney." She further said,
"The 'Affordable Care Act' is going to be a disaster for seniors.
Yet,
if you are in this country illegally, and have no coverage, you will be covered
in full."
This is not internet
hype folks, this is real, I just experienced it personally. Moving right
along, this gets worse.
Today I went to a
(required) follow up appointment with my Arizona Family Practitioner. Since my
white count was pretty high, the follow up was important. During the visit I
shared the experience at emergency, and that I had refused to be admitted. His
response was "I don't blame you at all, I would have done the same
thing". He went on to say that the colonoscopy and other procedures
are probably going to be dropped from coverage for those over 70.
I told him that I had heard
that the affordable care act would no longer pay for cancer treatment for those
76 and older, is that true? His understanding is that it is true.
The more I hear, and
experience the Affordable Care Act, the more I'm beginning to see that we
seniors are nothing more than an inconvenience, and the sooner they can get rid
of us the better off they'll be.
November is coming
folks, we can have an impact on this debacle by letting everyone in Congress
know that their responsibility is to the constituents, not the president and
not the lobbyists. We need to let them ALL know that they are in office to
serve and to look after the BEST INTERESTS of "we the people", their
employers, and not to become self serving bureaucrats who serve only out of greed.
And if they don't seem to understand this simple logic, we'll fire them.
On the mend, (signed)

This Small
Town Just Took A Big Stand Against Obama
Upon announcing his intention
to hobnob with supporters in Medina, Wash...
Barack
Obama recently hit a roadblock in
his ongoing campaign to attend fundraisers across the nation.
Upon announcing his intention to hobnob with supporters in Medina, Wash.
earlier this week, city leaders explained that they will not force local
taxpayers to pay for the associated expenses of his visit.
“We
love welcoming people to what we think is one of the most attractive
communities in Puget Sound,” said City Manager Mike Sauerwein.
While
visitors might be welcome, however, he insisted that it should be at their own
expense.
“We
just don’t feel that we should be passing the cost of the events to our
citizens,” he said.
Saurwien
explained that, with previous presidential visits, taxpayers have had to pony
up tens of thousands of dollars to pay for added police coverage and other
incidental expenses. He urged the city council to pass that expense on to
Obama’s host, former Costco CEO Jim Sinegal, for this event.
Every
member of Medina’s small police force will be assigned to working the
fundraiser, aided by state and county law enforcement officers. While he could
not estimate what the total cost would be prior to the event, Saurwein did know
who would be receiving the invoice.
“We
just don’t think that’s a cost that should be passed on to taxpayers,” he said,
“so we are going to be billing the host of the event for that cost.”
As
Western Journalism reported, Sinegal has been a longtime Obama
supporter going back to his tenure as Costco CEO, having donated a total of
$200,000 to Obama’s campaign and an affiliated political action committee ahead
of the 2012 presidential election.
Sinegal
was even invited to speak at the 2012 Democratic National Convention.
The
company came under fire earlier this month, in part because of its close ties
to Sinegal and, by extension, the Obama administration.
When
conservative author Dinesh D’Souza’s recent book, “America”, was
unceremoniously stripped from Costco shelves just as his corresponding
documentary opened in theaters across America, many concluded that the move
could have stemmed from the retailer’s inherent disdain for his anti-Obama
viewpoint.

Did
Obama’s Biggest Nightmare Just Become Reality?
This movement could end up being
bigger than the Tea Party.
PAGES: 1 2
Under
Obama’s Dream Act, he declared that he wouldn’t deport underage illegal
immigrants already living in the United States.
Of
course, the illegal immigrants in the United States were elated by the news.
Many of them phoned home requesting for friends and family to join them.
Well,
hundreds of thousands answered the call and are now swarming across the border.
And the surge has completely overwhelmed America’s child welfare and foster
care system.
In
response, Obama – believing he would face less opposition by shipping these
immigrants to big cities – turned nearly the entire country into pseudo border
states.
So
what was once a problem in Arizona and Texas is now also a problem in Illinois,
California, and New York.
Indeed,
Obama’s “dream” has quickly become a nightmare. And his strongest supporters
are now turning their backs on him.
Lies,
Lies, Lies
The
political left has claimed that these children are leaving Central America
because of violence.
Don’t
believe it…
A
recent government intelligence assessment compiled via interviews with detained
illegals concludes that 95% “cited the primary reason for migrating to the
United States was the perception of U.S. immigration laws granting free passes
or ‘permisos’ to UAC (unaccompanied children).”
By
comparison, the violence affecting black children in America’s inner cities is
far worse than anything being faced by these children from Central America.
On
such merits, black leaders across the country are actually denouncing Obama as a result of the ongoing
immigration crisis. They believe that if Obama can find money to spend on the
child immigration crisis, he should also be able to find more room in the
budget for helping at-risk children who are here legally.
Speaking
from Chicago, Reverend Jesse Jackson said, “If we can find $4 billion for those
children – and we should – we can find $2 billion for Chicago. There are more
children involved, and more have been killed, and more have been shot.”
Just
over the Fourth of July weekend, nine people were killed – and 60 injured – in
the ongoing eruption of violence in Chicago.
And
it’s not just the black community that’s feeling shunned. A coalition of
homeless activists in Los Angeles are also upset – feeling neglected as city
officials rush to find housing for illegal immigrants.
Before
we start taking in “refugees” from other countries, maybe we should start
focusing on the refugees in our own backyard.
Free
Immigration and a Welfare State?
Many
on the left continue to quote the words inscribed on the Statue of Liberty,
“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free…”
The
problem with open borders today is that the system has dramatically changed.
In
1886, when the Statue of Liberty was gifted to the United States, we had no
welfare system. Immigrants knew they had to work to make it in America, and
they certainly did!
Today,
we have a highly developed welfare system that gives these children money we
cannot afford.
As
America’s brilliant economist, Milton Friedman, once postulated: “It’s just
obvious you can’t have free immigration and a welfare state.” The immigrants
coming today are an immediate cash drain on an already-overtaxed welfare system
– shoving American children out of the way to make more room for them

See How
Liberals Just Used The Race Card To Try And Silence Ted Nugent
Though Nugent has not publicly commented...
Ticketholders
expecting a raucous Ted Nugent performance at an Idaho casino just learned the
show has been canceled due to the rock legend and outspoken conservative’s
alleged racist tendencies.
Without providing a single example to back up its claim, the Coeur d’Alene
Native American tribe announced the Aug. 4 concert has been cancelled.
As
for an explanation to fans looking forward to the event, casino owners only
suggested that he has “racist attitudes and views.”
Though
Nugent has not publicly commented on the decision as of this writing, his
supporters took to Twitter to express their dismay.
Many
expressed the view that Nugent, although often blunt in sharing his views, is
far from a racist. In fact, several Twitter users pointed out that the star has
long been an advocate of Native American causes.
The far-left Daily
Kos called on hosts of
other upcoming Nugent shows to follow suit in an article that included a
statement by the tribe announcing its decision.
“The Coeur d’Alene Tribe has always been about human rights –
for decades, we have worked individually and as a Tribe to make sure that each
and every person is treated equally and with respect and dignity,” the
statement indicated.
Indicating
his allegedly racist remarks were revealed by the Southern Poverty Law Center,
the tribe chose not to cite any examples of the behavior they felt warranted a
cancellation of his concert.
A
number of social media responses picked up on the hypocrisy of calling off
Nugent’s show while legitimately intolerant performers continue to perform
unabated.
While plenty of Nugent’s detractors applauded the decision to cancel the show,
his supporters seem to agree that the minor setback will have little to no
effect on his appeal or his ability to draw crowds across the nation.
