In my estimation there is no more vile creature on the face of the earth than one Barack Hussein Obama. He is a strident advocate for all that is ungodly, nefarious and just plain evil.

Obama never hesitates when it comes to trumpeting the “joys” of homosexuality. If he isn’t waxing euphoric over the “courageous” exploits of gay athletes such as Michael Sam and Jason Collins–he’s lecturing us on the “imperatives” of gay adoption and the “virtues” of same sex marriage.

Perhaps Mr. Obama isn’t aware of the fact that (according to the National Association for Research & Therapy of Homosexuality) the average life-span of homosexuals in America  is a scant 42 years of age? Or, just maybe–he isn’t cognizant that due to the unsafe practice of same-sex sodomy–myriad medical complications arise which leads to early death?

Our Commander-in-Chief is manifestly ignorant to the fact that over 90% of pedophiles (according to author and researcher Dr. Judith Reisman) hail from the gay community. So, by advocating gay adoption–our president is placing children in a predatory milieu that will render them scarred for life.

Sarcasm aside–I fervently believe that Obama is aware of these facts and hazards– but due to his ridged, left-wing dogmatism–he simply refuses to budge.

VILE!

Yet some of his most abhorrent work comes in the area of touting and praising Islam. Back in 2007–Obama referred to the Islamic call to prayer as one of the “prettiest sounds on earth.” This explains–at least in part–why he not only backed the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and the rebels in Syria (two groups that adhere to traditional, Koranic doctrine)–but why he also grows indignant at the slightest criticism of Islam or its prophet.   

And the results of his labor have been nothing short of cataclysmic. From the wholesale torture, rape and execution of Christians in both countries to the destabilization of the Middle East–Obama’s advocacy of  the world’s most savage and misogynistic dogma has cost thousands of innocent lives.

Barack Hussein Obama has been afforded (and blessed with) the most important position on God’s earth–President of the United States. But instead of using it as a force for good–he has used it to promote some of the most reprehensible and poisonous practices, behaviors and ideologies known to man.

And for that offense–I call him the world’s most vile creature.

Barack Obama Behind Largest Prison Break In US History

36,000 criminals—including murderers, kidnappers, and child molesters—now roam the streets of America thanks to Barack Hussein Obama. America woke up the morning of Monday, May 12, 2014, to discover that the Obama administration had released a staggering 36,000 illegal aliens onto the streets in 2013, most convicted of serious crimes.

Congressman Lamar Smith has called this the largest prison break in U.S. history!

Pandering to Hispanics and hoping to tap potential Democrats, Obama ignored the rule of law and put millions of Americans in danger. Obama and his family are constantly surrounded by a phalanx of secret service agents wielding automatic weapons—but what about the rest of Americans? Don’t we count?  When one of Obama’s criminal illegal aliens breaks into our home, tries to murders a family member, and attempts to kidnap one of our children to perform unspeakable acts on them, who will be there to protect us?

Many in America have called this the last straw. That Obama needs to be impeached— NOW.

The unveiling of the dictatorial debacle that is Obamacare absolutely flabbergasts me. It is stunning on so many levels, but the most shocking aspect of it for me is watching millions of free Americans stand idly by while this man, his minions in Congress and his cheerleaders in the press systematically dismantle our Constitution, steal our money, and crush our freedoms.

The President, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid (with no small help from Justice John Roberts) take away our health care, and we allow it. They take away our insurance, and we allow it. They take away our doctors, and we allow it. They charge us thousands of dollars more a year, and we allow it.  They make legal products illegal, and we allow it.  They cripple our businesses, and we allow it. They announce by fiat that we must ignore our most deeply held beliefs - and we allow it.

Where is your spine,  America ?

Yes, I know people are complaining.  I read the news on the internet.  I read blogs. I have a Twitter feed. So what? People in the  Soviet Union complained.  People in  Cuba complain.  People in  China complain (quietly). Complaining isn't the same thing as doing anything about it.  In fact, much of the complaining that we hear sounds like resignation:  Wow. This sucks.  Oh well, this is the way things are.  Too bad.  Perhaps you need reminding of a few important facts. Here goes:

1. The President is not a king.  Barack Obama does not behave like a President, an elected official, or someone who realizes that he works for us.  He behaves like a king, a dictator - someone who believes that his own pronouncements have the force of law, and who thinks he can dispense with the law's enforcement when he deigns to do so. And those of us who object?  How dare we?  Racists!  And while he moves steadily "forward" with his plans to "fundamentally transform" the greatest country in human history, he distracts people with cheap, meaningless trivialities, like "free birth control pills"! (In fact, let's face it: this administration's odd obsession with sex in general - Birth control!  Abortion!  Sterilization!  Gay guys who play basketball! -- is just plain weird.  Since when did the leader of the free world care so much about how people have sex, who they have it with, and what meds they use when they have it? Does he have nothing more important to concern himself with?)

2. It isn't just a failed software program; it is a failed philosophy. People are marveling that Healthcare.gov was such a spectacular failure. Well, if one is only interested in it as a product launch, I've explained some of the reasons for that here.  But the larger point is that it isn't a software failure, or even a product failure; it is a philosophy failure.  I have said this before: Obama is not a centrist; he is a central planner.  And this - all of it: the disastrous computer program, the hundreds of millions of dollars wasted, the lies, the manipulation of public opinion, the theft of the public's money and property, and freedom (read insurance, and premiums, and doctors) -- IS what central planning looks like.  The central premise of central planning is that a handful of wunderkinds with your best interests at heart (yeah, right) know better than you what's good for you. The failure of such a premise and the misery it causes have been clear from the dawn of humanity. Kings and congressmen, dictators and Dear Leaders, potentates, princes and presidents can all fall prey to the same imperial impulses: "we know what is good for 'the people.'  And they are always wrong.  There is a reason that the only times communism has really been tried have been after wars, revolutions, or coups d'état. You have to have complete chaos for people to be willing to accept the garbage that centralized planning produces. Take the  Soviet Union , for example. After two wars, famine, and the collapse of the Romanov dynasty, why wouldn't people wait in line for hours to buy size 10 shoes? Or settle for the gray matter that passed for meat in the grocery stores?  But communism's watered-down cousin, socialism, isn't much better. Ask the Venezuelans who cannot get toilet paper. Toilet paper. ¡Viva la Revolución!
Contrary to what so many who believe in a "living Constitution" say, the Founding Fathers absolutely understood this.  That is why the Constitution was set up to limit government power. (Memo to the President: the drafters of the Constitution deliberately didn't say "what government had to do on your behalf").  They understood that that was the path to folly, fear, and famine.

3. Obama is deceitful.   Just as the collapse of the computer program should not surprise anyone, neither should we be shocked that the President lied about his healthcare plan.  Have any of you been paying attention over the past few years?  Obama has made no secret of his motivations or his methods.  The philosophies which inspire him espouse deceit and other vicious tactics. (Don't take my word for it: read Saul Alinsky.) Obama infamously told reporter Richard Wolffe,  "You know, I actually believe my own bullshit."  He has refused to be forthcoming about his past (where are his academic records?).  His own pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, told author Ed Klein, that Obama said to him, "You know what your problem is?  You have to tell the truth." Did Obama lie when he said dozens of times, "If you like your plan, you can keep it. Period!"?  Of course he did.  That's what he does.

4. The media is responsible. And had the media been doing their jobs, we would have known a lot of this much, much earlier.  The press is charged with the sacred responsibility of protecting the people from the excesses of government. Our press has been complicit, incompetent, or corrupt.  Had they vetted this man in 2008, as they would have a Republican candidate, we would have known far more about him than we do, even now.  Had they pressed for more details about Obamacare, Congress' feet would have been held to the fire.  Had they done their jobs about Eric Holder, Fast and Furious, Benghazi, the IRS scandal, NSA spying - or any of the other myriad betrayals of the public trust that this administration has committed, Obama would likely have lost his 2012 reelection campaign. (A fact that even The Washington Post has tacitly acknowledged.  Well done, fellas! Happy now?)  Instead, they turned a blind eye, even when they knew he was lying, abusing power, disregarding the limits of the Constitution.  It was only when he began to spy on them, and when the lies were so blatant that the lowest of low-information voters could figure it out that they realized they had to report on it. (Even in the face of blatant, deliberate and repeated lies, The New York Times has the audacity to tell us that the President "misspoke.") They have betrayed us, abandoned us, and deceived us.

5. Ted Cruz was right.  So was Sarah Palin.  The computer program is a disaster.  The insurance exchanges are a disaster.  What's left?  The healthcare system itself.  And this, of necessity, will be a disaster, too.  Millions of people have lost their individual insurance plans.  In 2015, millions more will lose their employer-provided coverage (a fact which the Obama administration also knew, and admitted elsewhere).  The exorbitant additional costs that Obamacare has foisted on unsuspecting Americans are all part of a plan of wealth confiscation and redistribution.  That is bad enough. But it will not end there.  When the numbers of people into the system and the corresponding demand for care vastly exceed the cost projections (and they will, make no mistake), then the rationing will start.  Not only choice at that point, but quality and care itself will go down the tubes.  And then will come the decisions made by the Independent Payment Advisory Board about what care will be covered (read "paid for") and what will not.  That's just a death panel, put politely. In fact, progressives are already greasing the wheels for acceptance of that miserable reality as well.  They're spreading the lie that it will be about the ability of the dying to refuse unwanted or unhelpful care.  Don't fall for that one, either. It will be about the deaths that inevitably result from decisions made by people other than the patients, their families, and their physicians. (Perhaps it's helpful to think of their assurances this way:  "If you like your end-of-life care, you can keep your end-of-life-care.")

6. We are not SUBJECTS. (or, Nice Try, the Tea Party Isn't Going Away).  We have tolerated these incursions into our lives and livelihoods too long already. There is no end to the insatiable demand "progressives" have to remake us in their image.  Today it is our insurance, our businesses, our doctors, our health care.  Tomorrow some new crusade will be announced that enables them to take over other aspects of our formerly free lives.  I will say it again: WE ARE NOT SUBJECTS. Not only is the Tea Party right on the fiscal issues, but it appears that they are more relevant than ever.  We fought a war once to prove we did not want to be the subjects of a king, and the  Boston Tea Party was just a taste of the larger conflict to come.  If some people missed that lesson in history class, we can give them a refresher.  The 2014 elections are a good place to start. Call your representative, your senator, your candidate and tell them: "We are not subjects. You work for us. And if the word "REPEAL" isn't front and center in your campaign, we won't vote for you. Period."

La Habana: En acto único recibió ayer la bloguera Yoani Sánchez la más alta distinción otorgada en la capital de Cuba a trabajadores con una trayectoria laboral intachable, y en función de defender la libertad de idea y pensamiento.

Yoani Sánchez acudió al evento después de recibir una citación por parte Comité Militar Municipal del municipio Centro Habana y en medio de la preparación Bastión 2014 de las milicias de la isla.
"Yo pensé que se la llevaban detenida por esto del zunzuneo, pero después vi que la recogió Eusebio Leal en el propio Comité Militar y me quedé más tranquilo", nos dijo el esposo de la bloguera, quien atiende las relaciones nacionales e internacionales del proyecto de Yoani, así como el aspecto económico del mismo.
En medio del alboroto internacional que causó la noticia, Yoani fue condecorada por el propio Eusebio Leal con la distinción Máximo Gómez y se le hizo entrega de una réplica del machete del mambí.
"!Yoani seguro a los yanquis dale duro!", gritaron confundidos los vecinos del CDR Soldaditos de la Revolución, que se dieron cita en el lugar quienes no conocían a Yoani Sánchez, y mucho menos tenían conocimiento de su (¿)posición antigubernamental.(¿)
"Esta ni es disidente ni es na´", agregó Aldo Palacio, miembro del grupo UNPACU, únicos disidentes no invitados a la actividad, los cuales reaccionaron haciendo entrega de una réplica del machete de Quitín Banderas a su líder en las provincias orientales.
Para Yoani el premio constituye un acercamiento a los dirigentes de la isla y el inicio de una nueva era, distanciada de posiciones extremas donde su periódico logre, finalmente, alcanzar a las mayorías que desea en el país caribeño.
"Estoy que no me lo creo, soy la primera bloguera cubana en recibir tan alta condecoración", dijo la bloguera al reportero de PP Mail, mientras una lágrima tierna corría sin amparo por sus huesudas mejillas y el esposo le retiraba el mamotreto de papeles recién leídos en el acto para que no fueran a mojarse.

AMENPER: Obama, el mejor presidente en la historia de Estados Unidos

El título de este escrito pudiera parecer un chiste, pero conociendo la capacidad de la izquierda para tergiversar los hechos de la historia, si esperamos un tiempo apropiado, la mediática izquierdista pudiera canonizar a Obama en los libros de textos educativos de las escuelas públicas y universidades como el mejor presidente que ha tenido los Estados Unidos. 

Esto pudiera ser lo que aprenderán nuestros biznietos y tataranietos en las escuelas y quizás la moneda de su época lleve la efigie del prócer Barack Hussein Obama en el billete reservado para el padre de la patria, el billete de un dólar.

Para demostrar la vigencia de mi tesis, vamos a hablar un poco sobre un incidente que ocurrió en la Universidad de Duke.  Fue el llamado caso del Lacrosse de Duke que es un nombre común dado a una investigación criminal por una falsa acusación de violación 2006 presentada contra tres miembros del equipo de Lacrosse de los varones en la Universidad de Duke en Durham, Carolina del Norte

En marzo de 2006 Crystal Gail Mangum, una estudiante afroamericana...... (UNA NEGRA,, creo que hay que aclararlo porque hay africanos blancos). 

Esta "afroamericana negra" estudiaba, no en Duke, pero en la cercana Universidad Central de Carolina del Norte y trabajaba como stripper, bailarina y "acompañante" de hombres.

La "afroamericana negra" acusó falsamente a tres estudiantes blancos Universidad de Duke, miembros del equipo de lacrosse de los Duke Blue Devils, de haberla violado en una fiesta llevada a cabo en la casa de dos de los capitanes del equipo en Durham, Carolina del Norte el 13 de marzo de 2006 

En respuesta a las acusaciones de la Universidad de Duke suspendió el equipo de lacrosse por dos partidos el 28 de marzo de 2006 - El 5 de abril de 2006, el entrenador de lacrosse de Duke Mike Pressler se vio obligado a dimitir bajo amenaza por el director atlético Joe Alleva y el presidente de Duke Richard Brodhead canceló el resto de la temporada del 2006. 

Mi nieto Marcos, que esperaba aspirar a un puesto en el team, tuvo que optar por el equipo de Hockey de Hielo, con el cual jugó por cuatro años. 

Mi nieto estaba en su primer año universitario en Duke en 2006, así que tuve una ocasión indirecta de conocer los hechos de primera mano.  El Campus fue invadido por militantes, panteras negras y todo tipo de manifestaciones con la presencia permanente de Jesse Jackson,. que hacían díficil a los estudiantes, sobre todo a una persona nueva como mi nieto, adaptarse al ambiente estudiantil.  La vida de los acusados fue destruida, moral, educativamente y económicamente, no han podido recuperarse.

 El lunes 10 de abril de 2006, se reveló que las pruebas de ADN no había podido conectar a ninguno de los 46 miembros de la prueba de equipo de lacrosse de los hombres la Universidad de Duke. Después de las rondas iniciales de las pruebas realizadas por el laboratorio de crimen de Estado se completó, el fiscal solicitó los servicios de un laboratorio privado para llevar a cabo pruebas adicionales.  El  ADN de varios machos fue encontrado dentro de Mangum y sobre los elementos del kit de violación que habían sido probados, pero ninguno coincidió con ninguno de los jugadores de lacrosse, o sea que la "afroaméricana negra" era evidentemente tremenda puta, pero no había prestado sus servicios a los jugadores. 

Ahí terminó el caso de "la pobre negrita abusada" por los muchachos ricos de Duke.

Nueve años después cuando toda la generación de estudiantes de Duke de aquellos tiempos se han graduado, cuando el público ya no se acuerda bien del caso, hay un escritor liberal, William D Cohan, que saca un libro diciendo que el caso fue un juicio racista que se ganó en las cortes por tener los acusados los abogados más caros.   No importa que la fiscalía y la policía haya sido cómplice en contra de los acusados, no importa los analisis de ADN, si la acusadora es negra tiene que tener la razón. 

Ya nadie se acuerad e los detalles del caso y se puede decir lo que le venga en ganas, siempre hay muchos que se lo creen, porque está publicado en letra de imprenta.

Pero eso podemos pensar que después que estemos una generación que no haya vivido de primera mano el gobierno de Obama, pueden volver a presentarlo bajo el prisma de colores mesiánicos con que nos lo presentaron antes de su presidencia.  El tiempo borra cosas aberrantes, lo único que perdura en la maldad de la historia es el l holocausto judío.  Pero en este caso las víctimas en su mayoría no somos judíos, así que estamos en peligro de que Obama sea considerado en el futuro como el mejor presidente de la historia de Estados Unidos, y substituya a George Washington en los billetes de un dólar.

Admiro inmensamente a mi gran amigo Frank de Varona por su vertical posición a lo largo de los años en defensa de nuestra herencia hispana y nuestros valores morales. Pero sus ataques contra Barack Obama parecen demagógicos y su indignación parece hueca y partidista cuando recordamos que jamás hemos escuchado a Frank atacar a ninguno de los cabecillas de la Falsa Derecha norteamericana: George W. No es que el criptocomunista de Obama no sea merecedor de la crítica. Ciertamente lo es. Pero no es honrado criticar a Obama a expensa de todos los principios éticos, los valores morales y las libertades civiles que la Falsa Derecha y el falso conservador de Bush desprecian y pisotean. 

No olvidemos el libro titulado: Impostor: How George W. Bush Bankrupted America and Betrayed the Reagan Legacy, escrito en 2006 por Bruce Bartlett, economista republicano y asesor del presidente Ronald Reagan.

En el 2000, Bartlett apoyó a George W. Bush para la presidencia, pero para el 2004 se había percatado que Bush no estaba gobernando como un conservador. Al contrario, Bush estaba traicionando todos los principios conservadores y promoviendo la agenda anti-norteamericana del siniestro Consejo de Relaciones Exteriores y el Fondo Monetario Internacional.

Bartlett admite haber sufrido una crisis de conciencia que lo llevo a escribir su libro Impostor!, en el cual revela como el desgobierno de Bush puso en vigor todo tipo de políticas socialistas y globalistas que destruyeron la economía norteamericana, multiplicaron el tamaño de burocracia federal, redujeron las libertades civiles del pueblo, socavaron nuestra seguridad nacional y, lo más destructivo de todo, EMPUJARON al electorado norteamericano hacia las tenebrosas garras de la Izquierda obamista. Los ocho años de traidoras políticas socialistas de Bush allanaron el camino para la elección del comunista Barack Obama en 2008. McCain y Romney, dos connotados operativos de la Falsa Derecha, han ayudado a consolidar la agenda comunista en Estados Unidos.

Por su honradez y lealtad a los auténticos valores y principios conservadores, Bruce Bartlett se vio obligado a pagar un alto precio. Fue inmediatamente despedido de su trabajo en Washington, fue brutalmente perseguido y permanentemente excluido de Fox News, del Wall Street Journal y todos los otros medios de prensa de la Falsa Derecha norteamericana. No es que fuera criticado o atacado, hasta el día de hoy ha sido tratado como ni siguiera hubiera existido.

Si seguimos sin reconocer que la altamente peligrosa Falsa Derecha es la que le allana el camino y le abre la puerta al comunismo seguiremos en las mismas. Y la culpa es enteramente nuestra.

Eudocio Ravines, testigo de la ignominia socialista que pagó con su vida su denuncia del sistema.

Nacido en Perú, fue una persona compenetrada con el marxismo y vinculada a la elite del aparato soviético. Responsable de haber organizado los movimientos comunistas en España, Chile, Argentina y Perú por lo que obtuvo los Premios Stalin y Mao. 
Ravines es designado delegado argentino del Partido Comunista al Congreso en Bruselas en 1927 y en 1929 es nombrado delegado del grupo socialista-comunista de Perú al Congreso de Frankfurt.

Ese mismo año es invitado a Moscú donde se encuentra con la primera sorpresa en el tren ruso: las porciones para el desayuno eran mínimas y a precios varias veces superiores a las raciones suculentas de los desayunos parisinos. La segunda sorpresa es el estado miserable de la gente, la mugre y el hacinamiento a medida que el tren iba recorriendo diferentes lugares, a lo cual los comisarios encargados de vigilarlo le explicaron que era “la herencia recibida” (aún después de doce años de iniciada la revolución- Culpar al régimen anterior por todos los problemas siempre ha sido la estrategia del socialismo, ya se llamen los Zares, Batista o Bush). En una ocasión como consecuencia de su enfermedad cuando preguntó la razón por la que faltaban medicamentos: le respondieron que era indispensable gastar en armamentos debido a los “ataques permanentes de Occidente” “otra estrategia socialista, el culpar a los que se le oponen de sus propios problemas.,

¨Otra sorpresas, fueron comprobar en Moscú la opulencia con que vivían y las comidas y las bebidas que se servían en las mansiones de los jerarcas del partido, y la sorpresa del comienzo de las terribles purgas de Stalin liquidando a sus propios camaradas (comenzando por su segundo el otrora poderoso S. Kirov) .Algo que sucede en todos los regímenes socialistas, que por etapas devoran a sus hijos y la opulencia de la “nueva clase” los líderes del gobierno..

De todos modos, Ravines prosiguió con sus actividades y mantuvo entrevistas con  [Stalin] y con Mao (en ese momento en Moscú) donde escuchaba sorprendido largas peroratas sobre “las maravillas del Segundo Plan Quinquenal”. Y asistió a sesiones con el cuerpo de asesores de Dimitrov donde “se explicaba la importancia decisiva de ocupar cátedras universitarias e infiltrar diversas manifestaciones religiosas, en especial a la Iglesia Católica”.

Un noche, en un hotel de Madrid, un camarada y amigo, de origen italiano, de apellido Marcucci —después de escuchar en la radio las noticias de que el Comité Central del Partido había ordenado matanzas a quienes operaban en el mercado negro en Rusia y sus satélites— le habla largamente, muy desilusionado y angustiado sobre como había entregado su vida al sistema comunista al que se refiere como “la gran estafa” (nombre que después Ravines utilizó para escribir sus memorias). Esa noche Marcucci apareció muerto en su habitación. Su muerte se declaró suicidio. Es trasladado a Chile una vez más y allí decide romper con el círculo soviético pero mantiene su fe marxista. Consideraba que el problema radicaba en la irresponsabilidad de los administradores del régimen. Varios emisarios le advierten que “dentro del Partido no se toleran las abjuraciones”

En 1950 después de reconocer que su experiencia le ha hecho comprender que el fracaso del socialismo no se debía a irresponsabilidad administrativa pero a la naturaleza del sistema, se traslada a México, donde en 1952 escribe sus memorias, en la obra titulada La gran estafa que fue un éxito editorial y se tradujo a varios idiomas.

Escribe Ravines en el prólogo a la décima edición de sus memorias:

“La economía de mercado condena íntegramente, sin redención posible, al marxismo y al socialismo, a la economía dirigida, al estatismo y a todas las formas de New Deal que pululan arrojando pérdidas, frustraciones y miseria sobre la Tierra [...] La realidad me convenció de que si el comunismo se arrepintiese de sus crímenes con la más sincera de las contriciones, si renunciase a sus métodos de opresión y se postrase humildemente ante la libertad, sería obligatorio seguir combatiéndolo por inepto [...] Se me anclaron, con ésta, dos firmes conclusiones: el socialismo y la miseria dolorosa y depravada de las masas, son inseparables. La opresión y la miseria siguen al socialismo como la sombra al cuerpo”.

En 1977 publica su obra profética, “Derrota Mundial del Comunismo” como una premonición de la caída del muro de Berlín más de veinte años después.

Cada vez que mencionaba su conversión del sistema totalitario al de la libertad se emocionaba vivamente y decía que era como el camino a Damasco de San Pablo y que escribiendo todos los días en diferentes periódicos de América latina y Miami y pronunciando conferencias en todas partes, donde lo invitaran, intentaba reparar el inmenso daño que había causado.

A partir de su abandono de las filas comunistas estaba perfectamente al tanto de los riesgos que corría pero los asumió y se entregó como mártir de la libertad. Fue asesinado en México el 23 de noviembre de 1978 a los tres meses de haber recibido su última advertencia en una feroz golpiza que le propinaron seis sujetos encapuchados.

A Dishonest Rewrite of the Duke Lacrosse Case

On an author's publicity tour, he's even more explicit in trying to taint the students who were falsely accused.

In the outpouring of praise for William D. Cohan's new book "The Price of Silence"—a work, remarkably enough, being celebrated as a model of evenhandedness, scrupulous objectivity, etc.—one essential has gone overlooked. Namely, the central point of this tale about the Duke lacrosse case and accusations against three players of rape and assault at a house party. It takes no close reading to see that the book is meant to recast the story so as to nullify the outcome Americans thought they knew—that the players were exonerated and had been falsely accused. In Mr. Cohan's portrayal, the workings of decency and justice were undone by malign forces—among them, it would seem, the ability to hire defense attorneys.

The three members of the Duke lacrosse team charged with attacking a hapless black woman—a stripper hired to perform at their March 2006 house party—were ultimately cleared, after enduring months of public vilification by District Attorney Mike Nifong, when the attorney general who replaced him dropped the case and declared the young men innocent. They had been the subject of wholly incredible allegations by the accuser, as DNA findings confirmed.

The book's pro forma declarations that the accused were, yes, exonerated come surrounded by a far stronger drumbeat of doubt that their exoneration could conceivably have been just. No surprise the accused beat the charges, Mr. Cohan is regularly at pains to make clear: These were white sons of privilege, from families who could pay for their excellent defense lawyers.

In Mr. Cohan's revisionist history we find a new moral hero—none other than Mr. Nifong, the prosecutor who brought the case and was disbarred for his actions during the investigation. "The Price of Silence" gives us a man mistreated and misunderstood, ruined for his efforts to do justice.

Such is the book's view of the prosecutor whose prime activity, upon taking the case, consisted of nonstop media interviews in which he denounced the evil of this racist sex assault by the lacrosse players—"hoodlums," as he referred to them—whose guilt, he emphasized, was unquestionable.

That this protracted pretrial outpouring might be unwise—in addition to being a clear violation of the requirement that prosecutors make no statements prejudicial to a fair trial—did not apparently trouble Mr. Nifong, who relished his turn on the national stage. Mr. Cohan rationalizes this bizarre prosecutorial behavior as a strategy to pressure members of the lacrosse team who had attended the party to tell what they knew—to break their "wall of silence."

In Mr. Cohan's interviews as he promotes his book, we hear much the same. Along with the author's repeated dark assertions that "something happened in that bathroom," we also hear, ominously, that "we will never know" the facts because "nobody in that bathroom is talking." District Attorney Nifong's career may have been undone but its spirit lives on.

Among Mr. Nifong's violations of acceptable standards—no small assortment—none was more consequential than his contriving, with his lab director, to leave out the results of the lab report showing that DNA from four men who were not the students was found on the accuser—indicating that she had had sexual relations with them before the alleged attack. That no Duke player's DNA was found on her was all the more probative of innocence.

Of this long withholding of crucial evidence, in violation of state law, Mr. Cohan argues in his book that the district attorney had "cogent" reasons. In a radio interview on NPR's "The Diane Rehm Show" last month, Mr. Cohan asserted that Mr. Nifong had certainly not withheld the test results—he had delivered them. In his characteristically sympathetic grasp of Mr. Nifong's thinking, the author explained that the district attorney just "didn't make it easy for them. He didn't put a nice bow around it. He made them dig through it and find out there was DNA evidence from other men."

Mr. Cohan failed to mention that what the district attorney sent for the defense attorneys to dig through was nearly 2,000 pages of raw DNA files. In 2007 the North Carolina State Bar, the agency regulating law practice in the state, found Mr. Nifong guilty of 27 of the 32 ethical charges lodged against him in the case. He would lose his license to practice law. He was found guilty, at a separate contempt hearing, of having lied about the DNA evidence to the presiding judge in the criminal case.

In Mr. Cohan's claims of justice gone wrong in the Duke case—claims louder and more explicit on his publicity tour than in his book, though they are clear enough there—Mr. Nifong is Exhibit A: "an honorable man" who tried his best to "get to the bottom of the case."

An odd way to describe Mr. Nifong's methods. Few facts would be as startling, after the case unraveled, as the revelation that the district attorney had never himself interviewed the alleged victim, Crystal Mangum, about the charges. Clearly the district attorney didn't relish questioning this problem witness—not the first prosecutor to have concluded that ignorance is bliss. He had no need to talk to her, Mr. Nifong tells Mr. Cohan, because the important thing was that he found her story credible. Mangum is today serving 18 years for the murder of her boyfriend in 2011.

On the NPR show, things were going swimmingly as Mr. Cohan presented his version of the Duke case, which included playing the race card. The parents of the three accused, he said "of course had a bottomless pit of money to spend on the defense . . . had it been, you know, black players . . . they would not have had the money for this defense."

As he has done regularly, Mr. Cohan named one of the exonerated students who, he said, left his DNA in one of the alleged victim's plastic fingernails, fallen off as "she was fighting for her life." State investigators dismissed the evidence as the likely result of contamination from other items in a trash bin at the house. As ever, Mr. Cohan emphasized that he had treated everyone in the book in a fair and balanced way.

During the broadcast a call came in from legal writer Stuart Taylor Jr. , who is the co-author, with historian KC Johnson, of the 2008 book "Until Proven Innocent"—a powerful assault on Mr. Nifong's handling of the Duke case. Mr. Taylor took issue with, among other points, Mr. Cohan's claim that he was the first to publish a nurse's sex-assault report on the case. The key findings of that report had been published numerous times before, including in Mr. Taylor's book.

The caller having departed, Mr. Cohan responded with the observation that "the haters like Stuart Taylor" don't want anything to do with "a fair and dispassionate assessment of the case."

Two weeks later, on April 28, when Mr. Cohan was asked during a WAMC radio interview in Albany, N.Y., why the nurse's report had never before been published, the author answered, remarkably, that it was the sort of thing that was sealed: "Nobody made that public till now. I got my hands on it and reported it faithfully in the book."

The report's contents had been published earlier in the New York Times, NYT +2.07%described on CBS's "60 Minutes," in addition to appearing in the Taylor and Johnson book, among other places. That Mr. Cohan would continue to repeat his claim publicly, despite all evidence to the contrary, is inexplicable.

In Mr. Cohan's fair-to-everyone tome, spoiled white males, arrogant athletes, the entitled affluent all prevailed against the forces of light. Against this golden-oldie pack of villains stood Mr. Nifong, a man of honor unable to succeed in his search for justice thanks to the deep pockets that paid for sharp lawyers. He wrote this book, the author told his WAMC interviewer, as a way of having the trial that was never allowed to take place.

To Mr. Cohan, apparently, true justice is served by allowing a prosecutor oblivious to ethical constraints to bring a groundless case in the hopes of winning a jury conviction. And by the writing of his book attempting to restore the taint of guilt and suspicion on three young men who had been cleared despite all Mr. Nifong's fraudulent effort. Mr. Cohan's grim refrain, "We will never know what happened in that bathroom"—a faithful image of the substance Mr. Nifong brought to his case—stands as a perfect tribute to that predecessor

The VA Scandal Proves Obamacare is a Bad Idea

Obamacare is the worst thing to happen to America in decades. With Obamacare, the federal government has taken over 1/6 of the American economy! Billions of dollars that used to be controlled by private interests are now directly funneled through bureaucratic interests.

Why is this a bad thing?

To understand why this is a horrible, terrible, no good situation one only has to look at what is happening in the VA scandal.

The Veterans Affairs Office is the wing of our government that is supposed to be taking care of our veterans as they come home from war and grow old in peace and good health. Only, that isn’t what the VA has become known for. The VA has become known for waste, corruption and fraud. The VA has become known for working against our veterans in an effort to save the government a few extra dollars.

And the situation has become dire.

The problems first surfaced in Phoenix, where the wait to receive care at VA facilities had grown so long that 1,400 to 1,600 sick veterans were forced to wait months to see a doctor. As many as 40 veterans reportedly died because they couldn’t get the care they needed. VA administrators tried to cover up the problems by establishing secret waiting lists and falsifying reports.

The scandal has now spread to other veteran facilities. VA employees at an outpatient clinic in Fort Collins, Colo., falsified appointment records to hide the fact that as many as 6,300 veterans treated at the outpatient clinic waited months to be seen for treatment. In Wyoming, whistleblowers have accused officials of manipulating records to hide wait times.

VA officers in San Antonio and Austin, Texas, have been accused of similar efforts to hide long waits. And in Pittsburgh, VA officials are accused of covering up the death of several patients after the water in a VA hospital became infected with bacteria. The officials reportedly tried to hide the information not only from patients and superiors, but even from hospital staff.

So, the best example we have of government-run healthcare in America has long lines, fraudulent waitlists, and has been scandalized by government cover-ups. In other words… it’s a train wreck. The VA is now killing our veterans, then trying to cover up their incompetence and malfeasance. This is a glimpse into our future with Obamacare. 

What should make this all the more disturbing to you is that the VA has a far smaller pool of people to deal with than Obamacare. The VA only has to care for several million people, while Obamacare will seek to cover the healthcare needs of over 315 Million people.

If you think what is happening with the VA right now is bad… you ain’t seen nothing yet. We have to end Obamacare now – before it’s too late. Any alternative to repeal is too terrifying to even consider…

Then you’ll probably say, “Who is Ed Mezvinsky?” Well, he is a former Democrat congressman who represented Iowa's 1st congressional district in the United States House of Representatives for two terms, from 1973 to 1977.

He sat on the House Judiciary Committee that decided the fate of Richard Nixon.

He was outspoken saying that Nixon was a crook and a disgrace to politics and the nation and should be impeached.

He and the Clintons were friends and very politically intertwined for many years.

Ed Mezvinsky had an affair with NBC News reporter Marjorie Sue Margolies and later married her after his wife divorced him.

In 1993, Marjorie Margolies-Mezvinsky, then a freshman Democrat in Congress, cast the deciding vote that got President Bill Clinton’s controversial tax package through the House of Representatives.

In March 2001, Mezvinsky was indicted and later pleaded guilty to 31 of 69 counts of bank fraud, mail fraud, and wire fraud.

Ed Mezvinsky embezzled more than $10 million dollars from people via both a Ponzi scheme and the notorious Nigerian e-mail scams.

He was found guilty and sentenced to 80 months in federal prison.

After serving less than five years in federal prison, he was released in April 2008 and remains on federal probation.

To this day, he still owes $9.4 million in restitution to his victims.
